Saw it yesterday and loved it. There is a lot going on and a couple of the subplots get a little lost along the way but I got what I expecting, namely plenty of pirate action. And I definitely didn't expect the ending which was a nice change from the usual.

incognito, I totally didn't get that little crucial info, that if Elizabeth was faithful for 10 yrs, Will would no longer have to captain the Flying Dutchman. I usually catch everything and I missed that somehow. Was it expressed in the film? Who said it?

This was the only movie in the franchise that I've been able to watching without falling asleep, so I proclaim it my favourite and also the best. The first just didn't grab me at all, I fell asleep about 45 minutes in and woke up during the end credits. The second, I couldn't really follow because I hadn't seen all of the first, plus it was way too long, with lots of totally unnecessary scenes and not enough plot progression. I dozed off about three times during that one, and each time I woke up I was amazed that the movie was still going on; it seemed interminable. But "At World's End" I really enjoyed and would like to watch it again. It's actually made me want to try to watch the first and second installments again.

Damn I'm pissed that << I didn't stay to after the end credits to see that scene. >> The ushers were chasing everybody out! However << Orlando Bloom looked DAMN HOT at the end, he really seemed to "man up!" and shit, I could stay faithful to him for enternity. >> This was only the second movie where I thought Orlando Bloom looked hot, the first was when he played a male prostitute.

Thanks a bunch, Incognito, I feel better now. That makes more sense. But really, if that scene was that important for the ending, which it seems it is, why would they cut it out? That makes no sense to me. Thankfully you found out about it so I like the ending now!
I read about the scene on here and wanted to stay for it but the movie was so long nobody I was with was up to staying. Poo.

I could tell the people we went with were ready to go as soon as the movie ended, but we were driving, so ha! Suckers.
I couldn't believe how many people got up to leave as soon as it was finished. You'd think if you were into the Pirates franchise enough to see it on opening night (if you don't count the Thursday showings), you would know that there are always extra scenes after the credits, but I guess not.

In my case LaconicChick , the ushers were kicking people out because they wanted to clean up for the next show.

Oh, I know; obviously that's beyond your control. But I do think that was lame of the ushers to prevent everyone from seeing it just because they wanted to make their jobs easier.

Oh well, I'll probably go see this again on a date or something; I'll get the DVD's too (I'm sure the DVD will be out before Christmas) as I have the DVD to #1. I thought #2 sucked IMO.
