I so wish there was going to be a 3 1/2 hour directos cut DVD of GoF.
I understand they need to keep the movies at a reasonable length since much of the target audience is young, however, keeping in mind deleted scenes for the DVD is a good thing.
I was very dissapointed with the PoA extras.

The obsessed fangirls would have slammed anyone playing Harry's love interest, but it's just a shame that they're bringing race into it. Not to mention that the character's name is definitely Asian. I think everybody with an ounce of sense was expectin an Asian-looking actress for the role, so... Who am I kidding? Those girls can't read, they have only seen the movies.

This is what the Harry Potter movies would probably be like if Hogwarts was anything like that high school from Fame or perhaps located in the tiny town from Footloose.

Oh God, when "Let's Hear it for the Boy" came on, I couldn't take it anymore and had to shut that off. Those poor kids. But this is fun. Or, for MySpace users.

I was laughing harder at "Ron" dancing around to "Let's Hear it for the Boy" in honor of Harry. I was thinking that the book/movie Ron would sooner walk off a cliff.

I was laughing at the music selections. Not one, but two selections from the Footloose soundtrack? And then an 80s MJ song? How old is their dance teacher anyway?

I went to see the film today and loved it. Up until today, PoA was my favourite book and film, but this film beats that one hands down.
Cho was cute, and I loved all the scenes where Harry's gazing adoringly at her. I was surprised by her Scottish accent as I hadn't given a thought to what kind of accent, English I suppose, she would have had. I like Scottish accents anyway so that just added to the cuteness of her.
Loved Neville and how he got into the dancing. He's really coming out of his shell in the films. And I'm so glad to know that those are not his real teeth.
I was ROFL over Ron's face and his 'Aunt Tessie' dress robes. What 14 year old wouldn't be terminably embarrassed to have to wear that outfit?
I didn't know that anyone else had commented on Emma Watson's eyebrow acting - I've been avoiding this thread until I saw the film - but I found it distracting too. I hope she stops that as I think she's a pretty good actress herself without falling back on an acting tic. Plus, who the heck does that in real life?!
Harry and the after-the-graveyard scene, when he brought back Cedric's body and was howling over it, broke my heart. I think it was also because Mr. Diggory was cheering, then it hit him that Cedric was dead. Poor Cedric.
Barty Crouch's death was absolutely bizarre. They found his body, then...that was it. Not a word, not a reaction in the school. Also, Harry went to Dumbledore's office just afterwards and there was the Penseive scene, and you never found out why Harry went to see Dumbledore in the film. That jarred a little. I'll have to re-read the book to find out why Harry went there in the first place.
Loved Myrtle in the bath, cosying up to a horrified Harry while he tried to preserve his modesty with the bubbles. Poor Harry! And just before that, when Cedric's trying to give him the hint to go have a bath in the prefects' bathroom - Cedric looked so embarrassed (and I'm not surprised).
I'm glad they left some of the humour in. It needed it.
