Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and their daughter Gabriella Windsor were there. They were there as friends of the family, not official royals. I think that most of the royals there were there as friends/family not as "offical delgation" as they were with CP Victoria.

I'm guessing that's because Greece's royals don't have any official position, so there wouldn't be an official delegation by foreign royals when someone marries or gets buried. CP Victoria will be Head of State when her father dies.

That's why it seems odd, though! I thought the British royals were pretty close to the Greeks, especially since the Greeks have lived in London for most of their exile. The Kents are directly related as Prince Michael, Princess Alexandra and The Duke of Kent are the children of Princess Marina of Greece. Like I said before, The Duke of Edinburgh's father was a prince of Greece (and Denmark). They are as close as royal families get, I would assume. What else would they be up to? Carriage-driving?

The Queen never goes to foreign weddings, though, and it's August so that means her and Philip are at Balmoral and they rarely go anywhere during that time-state funerals are basicaly the only exception.
My favorite Marie Chantal is a famewhore story is that her and Pavlos were married in London, so they had it at the end of July specifically when the Queen was in town so she couldn't say no to attending.

Dredging up this thread because King Constantine's youngest son, Philippos, held his third wedding ceremony this past Saturday and I just have to say that this was probably the worst bridal fashion I have seen on a "royal" bride in a long time. The wedding dress was Chanel. I hate the bridesmaid fashion too, which appears to consist of yellow splotches...I mean flowers...on white dresses. Worse was the frock worn to the pre-wedding ceremonies, also, I believe, Chanel. What on earth was she thinking? www.therealmyroyals.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/B54CD9CD-B558-48A2-B567-B2F935C54334.jpeg

I believe she was thinking, "I gotta cover this baby bump somehow," that's what.

I love it - the wedding dress and the bridesmaids' dresses (the pre-wedding dress, not so much.) It all comes together so beautifully in the formal photo with the little girls and pages. Congratulations to them!

I really like that wedding dress, though the bow at the front wouldn't be to my taste. I hope they're both very happy.

It does look a little bit like she’s trying to hide a pregnancy, there’s a lot of fabric in the front. It’s miles better than the pre-ceremony dress, talk about unflattering. Chanel lied to her.

All of these dresses smacked of "Grimaldi fashion victim" to me. European royals' wedding dresses are often made of stiff duchesse satin and cut so modestly as to be dowdy, but I found these aggressively unattractive.
