I don't even know what to say about Randy Quaid's asshattery.
I love the Brokeback bunnies parody soooo freakin much. We went to see Brokeback yet again, so my stepson could see it with us (he's visiting). I kept leaning in to my husband saying, "bunnies" in a squeaky voice. Teehee. I'm 12 that way. Now we all walk around saying, "I wish I knew how to quit you" in a bunny voice.

Ok, I didn't even really like the movie much, but this is so stupid. From the article:
90 million dollars is a fairly solid amount for most movies with a modest budget, let alone a movie that had a tiny budget. The movie was a huge success critically and financially, and they didn't make 90 million just by showing it in San Francisco. These people are idiots.

What a stupid article. What they don't realize was it played in fewer theaters than most mainstream movies. Even here in NYC it only played in 2 theaters the first weekend it came out.

Some people are so stupid it hurts. I am just amazed that it is 2006, and we've still got idiots in this country pitching a hissyfit over a movie.
And it isn't like they will be forced to buy a copy whenever they walk into a Wal-Mart. I doubt they'll even have displays in the movie section, it will just be sitting on the shelf.

Um. (BANNED!) Do they know anything about Wal-Mart at all? Because it sure doesn't sound like it.
Brokeback bunnies! Hee!

There's a poster for "BM" at my local Wal-Mart near the front entrance, which is nice since I live on the fringes of the Bible Belt.

Wait. It'll be on video on April 4 ?!?! Sheesh, the turn-around time for theatre - video is becoming ridiculously small.
And seriously, those folks need to realize that Wal-mart is *not* the church. I seriously think these folks are so confused. Wal-mart is a profit-making business - they are only as "family-friendly" as it is profitable. A boycott is meaningless, in most of those town there isn't anywhere else to shop. (sadly)
It's like what was said when the big brou-haha was made about Wal-mart saying 'happy holidays' instead of 'merry christmas.' I wanted to say, "Yes, that means this year you have to take your children to *church* instead of Wal-mart to teach them about Christmas."

Re: Randy Quaid. I finally read some of the stuff about his lawsuit...um, why is he suing? Did the other supporting actors make more than he did? If HE was the only one who was paid a shit salary, then yeah, I can see why he MAYBE have an issue. But really, why is he suing?

Because Randy Quaid is a recognizable household name, duh! Unlike those other bit-part saps!
...Yeah, I don't get it either.
