That Danish portrait!, VC Andrews indeed! 100% VC Andrews! Which of those siblings are having sex with each other?

A nice change from the usual parade of boring portraits. I appreciate it for this reason, but just the same I'd be startled by it if I woke up in the middle of the night.

I would like it more if it had a different face in it, but overall I like the red. ( not meaning anyone specific, just I think it would be a better painting with a different face!)

I think the picture is quite funny, myself. It's the butterfly that puts it over the top for me.

I’m not sure how I feel about it, but I’m in London right now. I’m planning to visit the gallery where it’s hung and see it in person.

It’s a very striking portrait for sure. I’m pretty sure I like it, but I had to contemplate it for a while!
I’ll also be in London in a few weeks, so maybe I can check it out in person too. Good idea! I booked my tickets back in November (non-refundable, no changes) because the date for Trooping the Colour on the official site was June 8. But then it got moved to the following week because, I assume, it conflicted with the Duke of Westminster’s wedding on June 7. Gah! But, you know what? Given the health of Charles and Kate, they might not participate in the annual parade anyway. More time for me in the museums then!

That’s what one reporter said, that it’s a different experience in person. luckylexie, it’s on display at the Philip Mould Gallery until June 16th. (Ish). Then it’s going to be hung in Drapers Hall, which doesn’t seem to be open to the public.
