I'm definitely not feeling this hair color on her.

Yeah, you're right. That dress is oddly riveting. Don't stare directly at it.
I do like that chocolate coat dress from yesterday, though.

Mariah's natural hair color is light to medium brown. From what she said in an interview recently, she sported her natural hair color during her debut, sans any highligting. She should try a darker brown. She's never gone that dark, except a wig for a Vibe shoot a year or two ago.
I am convinced that Mariah had/has been reading the response of fans on the internet during the last year. She's singing straight and is looking fabulous again. Lyor Cohen couldn't even convince her.

mimi is her nickname. Has anyone seen the cover of essence she's on it. The title I beleive is the most misunderstood black woman in america. It amazes me that they put this crap on the cover. When the has she ever been black.

I got the same feeling while watching her Making the Video. She mentioned the complaints over her whisper octave, and how she was no longer belting out the ballads like she did in her heyday. For a second I thought to myself, has Mimi been reading her FT thread?. But then i dismissed the thought. If she had really been reading her thread, she would stop bleaching her hair and wearing so much weave.
Despite the snarky tone of forums like this one and the other dearly departed one, the Mariah thread is pretty much a fan board, with a little constructive criticism thrown in for good measure.

Since conception, since her father is black. And she was featured in an article in Ebony back in 1991, probably the first magazine article where she talks about her mixed heritage.
I don't see Mariah and her people reading this thread, but going to popular fan boards. They have in the past.

Her father was Venezuelan (central or south america) and african american. So she's hispanic, too. Ugh, im sure she forgot.
As for her dress... LOVE IT.

I remember her being on the cover of Latina magazine too. M has always been pretty thorough in claiming all of her sides. Not that it matters.
I'm pretty sure I've heard that there's an intern or someone from Mariah's camp that checks FOMM regularly. God help them. Anyway it does make sense, M certainly knows about the place since at one time she posted there too.

seems that she only uses her blackness when she is trying to sell records. I do remember how when she came out she denied even being black and was busted on the radio by a man who knew her father.

I just read this off of Page SixIf that is the dress, I suppose it is more coverage than what she wore before.
