No I can't. I can no longer see anything beyond the crazy. So I couldn't even distract myself with the plot, other actors or action pieces.
But I have to be honest and say that I don't think my absence is going to make much of a dent. I anticipate a huge turnout for this film because I don't think that the main target audience for this film (young males, particularly teenagers) has noticed or cares about the unusual goings on of Tom Cruise. It's also got a huge foreign audience waiting to lap it up.

I liked the last two, so I'll see it if. Also, I heard it has good buzz.

I did like the first movie, before I found out how crazy he was. But now I just can't watch any movie with him in, without seeing the crazy.

I'll see it, because I'll see anything of JJ's. Sigh. The man continually lets me down, but I still keep going back for more.
As an Alias fan, I thought it was highly amusing that JJ sent Tom Cruise the first two seasons of the show on DVD to watch. So I guess even he knows sending anything after that wouldn't have been a wise move.

I wonder what the reviews for this movie will be like. Is there any advance word? Advance word has been excellent so far. Jeffrey Wells "The advance buzz about M:I:3 being awfully damned good has turned out to be true, I'm afraid -- as shallow but very expensive action films go, this is about as good as it gets." "Mission: Impossible III is easily the best of the three M:I's. No, I'll go further: it's one of the best high-torque summer action films ever." LinkHarry Knowles"The best modern pop spy film… movies with gadgets and impossible stunts… James Cameron’s TRUE LIES reigns supreme… or shall I say reigned supreme." "But the amazing thing is… in spite of the grotesque over-publicity of his personal life… we’re not seeing Tom decay on screen. His game hasn’t wavered an inch. In fact, the maturing of his face… the ever so slight tired corners of his eyes aren’t making him look old, but like he’s lived. And in this film he’s just so good. He comes across as dashing, charming, cavalier, earnest, romantic, competent, deadly and amazing." Link

My boyfriend (who enjoys action movies and liked the first two M:Is) will not be seeing this (and not because I told him not to). The reason? Tom Cruise. He specifically said, "Tom Cruise has ruined it for me. If he wasn't crazy, I would see it." That makes me incredibly happy.

Three words: Jonathan Rhys Meyers Oh, fuck! Is he in this?! Stupid CTC. Making me miss a movie with PSH is bad enough but JRM too? Aaargh.

I'm not the biggest Mission Impossible fan but I was a big Tom fan (in his Magnolia days). He's insane and will be a huge black cloud over any film they sign him onto. BTW, you could always fast forward to the parts with JRM and PSH once it comes on DVD.
