When I heard on the news this morning that KAK and CTC had "had" the baby my first thought was "I'll have my work cut out for me obeying the 15/15 rule today!" This was before I'd even had my first sip of coffee...

Oh, and when I heard the baby's name was Suri I thought, "The Celebrity Baby Names thread will be lively today!"

This completely throws me off balance, so much so that I can barely read their post. I am tempted to email the offending members and express my disappointment!

Much as I feel the same way, a part of me is really tempted now to change my Kafka avatar to something completely different and non-Kafka related, just to see if you'd recognize me. ;D It won't happen, but I've clearly got an evil side that occasionally pops up. Must be the Scorpio side. Hee.

I had to post directly to you, Kafka, because this is how I know I'm addicted to CPMCoG - I noticed you seemed a bit down in the True Confessions thread, so I went hunting for the Alan Rickman thread and bumped it for you! "Let's see... how can I make my pal on this internet board happy? Get her favorite thread back into some prime real estate!"

Oxynia is totally Sophia Loren. She can't fool us. And I still think of Dwan as a Sweet Valley High twin. I think of most of you as your avatars. Underjoyed? Yeah, she's a disaffected young woman sitting cross-legged. Borokat? Early Mickey. Guin? Well, she looks like Gwyneth but is really nothing like her. Brookie is a shoe to me still. Batmom is the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

And then there are those of you who I don't think of as avatars, yet I still have a very clear mental picture of who you are (Kafka looks like some exotic mysterious secret agent, LadyMadonna is the freethinking patron saint of the defenseless, Mad Elf is an unhappy yet wickedly smart woman who is worth more than she knows, Mr. Pancake is an "old soul," Bobblehead is no bobblehead at all, Topher is a pain in the ass (kidding! So totally kidding! Just wanted to see if you're still reading), Sunnyhorse is a rancher, Swanflake wears a fabulous skating costume, and geez I could go on and on.

I know I've left a lot of you out. I am thinking about you -- I just didn't want to make this post any longer.

I guess IKIAtCPMCoG when I realize I have more online friends than "real" ones. And, for the record, I don't want to be thought of as an alpaca.

I know I've said this before in another thread, but I work at home, and I think of you all as my office mates, the fun ones I go on break to snark with, the ones I catch movies and go to bars with during our off hours, the ones I have to check all the latest news with, the ones who drop by my cubicle to console me when I'm having a bad day. You guys are the best.

Don't worry, I'll reinstate my Gwhiney icon once I've finished 'celebrating' poor Suri's birth. I'd say "once I've finished mocking CETC" but that'll never happen.

And please don't ever change your Kafka icon (or if you do, change it back soon). He's adorable.

But yeah, I have the same problem. People become their avatars for me too (so I knew the risk I was running with Gwhiney).
