Man, some Colin Baker fans are hardcore!! Of course I'm one of them, but for crying out loud, just buy the Big Finish continuations you freaks. Criminy!
Until this Colin Baker played the Doctor the shortest time (1984-1986?) and that was technically two series as he was still the Doctor while the show was in hiatus. Hence what would have been three series went to two so while he does fit the average length of a Doctor, he only had two series in that time.
Eccleston now has the shortest reign which is one series. And speaking of averages, nearly every Doctor has had a run of around three years/series except Jon Pertwee who held it for five years (five series) and Tom Baker who did it for seven years/series. William Hartnell did a few stories in in the fourth series but was replaced early on with Troughton. And Colin Baker replaced Davison at the very end of the Davison's third series, but for simplicity's sake I've rounded off just to make it easier.

I was searching through LiveJournal the other day, and stumbled across this gem. Now, I see myself as an open-minded person, but this is just too much. I give you "brotherslash": No, this is not like any other male/male pairing. I like to read slash stories, but about gay, male characters with no blood relations to each other. I find this even more sick than the biblical slash mentioned a few pages ago. Of course the site also allows real people slash. So look out, famous brothers out there. I know you don't want to read that. Ick! Ew!

Oh God, the second post on the page is Blues Clues slash. Do some people actually watch children's TV going, "Yeah, I could slash this?"

You would be shocked. On the NickJr boards, when Steve left Blue's Clues, there were the flame wars of who was hotter Steve or his replacement Joe (fictional brother). It was some of the craziest shit I have ever seen. The mods gave up and then it really went ape shit.

Steve Burns has said that he recieved lots of fanmail from lonely stay-at-home moms during his stint on Blue's Clues. Explicit fanmail.
On his website, there is a Flash animation that gives a summary of his career leading up to his solo music career that he's working on now. It's funny to hear a sleepy sonding voice saying "the show was watched by pre-schoolers, housewives, and stoned college students..."

Has anyone been over to the TAR Rob and Amber thread at TWoP lately? 226 pages!! Posters were so worried about their safety b/c of the hurricane warning. A lot of the posters talk like they know them. People are obsessed...

That's the thing that scares me about Michael Jackson fans. On the fanclub forums they all talk about "Michael wouldn't do this.." or "Michael isn't like that" or "Michael feels that..." like they have known him for years.
I just want to scream "You don't know him, losers!" You've. Never. Met. Him. Whine all you like about "Media lies" and "Media bias" but everything you know about him you know through the media. You're not a trusted insider, you're a pathetic loser who reads magazines, swallows everything that praises him and dismiss everything you don't like as bias and lies. Newspapers can, and do, get sued if they print lies. You're the one that distorts the truth.
At this point I usually kick the cat and go for a long walk until those funny veins on my head stop throbbing.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: the Great Fangirl Meltdown of 2005Now, I'm as big of an Orlando-gusher as the next girl, but this is just ridiculous! And it's not just this post, that whole journal is an Ode to Scary Fandom.

Wow. That's just... wow.
The meltdown obviously is about a photo of Orlando Bloom and his Kate. I haven't seen said photo, but apperantly Kate's dog is in them. And these people spend a lot of time discussing where Orlando's dog is. And I mean a lot of time.
This quote had me laughing so hard:
Way to take things personally.
And this:
Heeee. How weird that he doesn't seem to listen to his fans' advice.
