That's the one! Thanks. How sad that some nutty stalker can derail an actor's career like that. It's good that she's back to acting, though. Any idea what happened to the stalker creep?

Oh, I remember this one, now, Dwan. Very scary stuff, as I recall. I didn't know anyone personally involved, but what was reported was truly creepy. Didn't this fan believe that s/he was/would be/had been married to this star or something?
So, I realize you're not going to give out details of the actual events, and I get that .... do you know what happened to this fan/stalker? In general terms? Jail? Nuthouse? Wandering around loose?

I work with a guy who really loves VMars. I like the show a lot, it is entertaining. But I don't obsess over it or anything. This guy has it on his mind, 24/7. A single, 37 year old guy who is a devout Byzantine Catholic whose hobbies are goign to the shooting range and playing classical guitar and going to church. But he got hooked on VM and heard I watch it, so everytime we are ever in the same place and there's a pause in the conversation, he will nervously turn to me and ask me some super detailed question about VM. Like, "Did you think the color of Lily's shoes had anything to do with who killed her in scene 5 of episode 11?" I'm like, dude, I don't know! Or he'll tell me how many days till the premiere. I wish he didn't know I watch!!

You know, between the mystery of Dwanollah's fandom and the fact that Bert Fields will sue us all, this site really should be masked from Google somehow. On the crazy fan note -- it took me way too long to realize this was parody.

More crazy. Pam Anderson has issued a restraining order against a stalker who want's her to star in a movie he has written, set up a production company with him, film a talk show with him and so on. He's posted a message to her on her website that has to be read to be believed. (There are several posts on this page, see if you can spot the one I'm talking about...) Result, restraining order!

That was truly scary. He was so excited/worked up he couldn't even use punctuation. It was like the ramblings of a nutcase. Oh wait... I guess that's what it was!
I'm not really a fan of Pam Anderson, but this kind of thing makes me feel really bad for her, especially since she had to protect her kids from people like this.
