The only positive thing I think to say about that is at least she's not prattling on about chasing babies to keep her slim. But deliberately dehydrating herself? Man, that is SO bad for the body.
I had almost that exact diet before I had a colonoscopy a few years ago. I wonder if she allows herself some jello. I don't think it's that extreme for a specific one night event. I don't think dehydrating for 12 hrs is that bad. She doesn't do this every day 365 and claims to be getting plenty of water all other days. eta Didn't she have a baby a year or so ago? I wonder what Heidi's regimen is.

Yeah, that does sound like what a bodybuilder does before a competition. My brother-in-law is into bodybuilding and it's all chicken and rice or protein shakes for a few days beforehand, then little-to-know water the day of (and maybe the night before) to have the least amount of puffiness so you can see the muscles better.
Of course, after a competition he drinks a ton of water and goes out for Mexican food and pigs out, so it's completely temporary.

I remember the high school wrestling team members would wear plastic trash bags and sit in a hot room to sweat off as many water pounds as possible before a match, to get into a lower weight class.
I can't think of many things that I'm willing to give up chocolate for.

I guess she got enough flack that Ardiana Lima has backed off from her comments about her pre-Victoria's Secret show diet. First she said that it was only short term and was indeed like an athlete's diet before a competition. Which I kinda get. But now she is saying her comments were misunderstood and she totally eats cake before the show. Even though I don't think what she does is healthy I appreciated the honesty. It is too bad she has backed off and now going the whole no I eat cake and still look like this line of comments.

Too bad. It was refreshing to have someone just come out and say that the models don't look the way do by following a healthy diet. It would be nice to change the incredibly unrealistic narrative that they got their figures by eating cake. If people want to praise or emulate that kind of figure, they should at least know what goes into acquiring it.

People probably thought it was a "nothing but water for two days" so she backed off with help from VS pr people. In interviews I've seen of hers [granted this was about 5 years back or so], I thought she still had a bit of trouble speaking English so it could have been a misunderstanding.
I read it as two days of protein shakes and not as much as a gallon of water a day.

Marissa Jaret Winokur has lost 60 pounds but I don't know if I believe she's a size 2 now.
