I have been completely obsessed with Smitten Kitchen for the last couple of weeks. The photos are gorgeous, but what I really love is that the blogger/excellent home cook tells you where she makes substitutions in recipes and gives tips for making steps easier. I now have a pile of recipes to try over my 2 week holiday break. |

Carolinian, I agree. I love the Daily Coyote but I can't read anymore for fear of what may happen.

Up until now I didn't really understand the term food porn, but I think I'm getting it...
It's not just the loving close-ups of the beautiful food, it's the how-to pictures of the slightly fleshy hands with the immaculately clean fingernails touching all the unfinished ingredients.. you can almost imagine the care and love being put into everything we see. And God - who is taking all those wonderful close-ups? Hungry now.

The next best thing to cooking and eating (both of which I love!) is perusing food blogs. Smitten Kitchen is indeed a good one. I also like Aapplemint--good recipes and a friendly tone. I also enjoy PopPolitics, which examines the politics of pop culture (if you couldn't guess). |
