This site is so cool: TED. Its mission is as a sort of collaborative-thinking virtual conference, with many different topics available to explore/discuss. There are various subjects addressed by experts in business, science, the arts, global issues and other areas. I just watched Isabel Allende relay stories of women from around the world. And I see that Jane Goodall has a talk posted as well - can't wait to watch it! Unfortunately, I am now utterly engrossed and will not get any more work done.

Resurrecting this thread. The newest gossip site on the block is Gossip Cop[/color]. I thought it was great because its purpose was to debunk the rumors & lies other sites posted as gospel. Lately, though, the site has become all things Twilight. It debunks the occasional rumor, but mostly it's been an extended branch of Summit. I don't care about New Moon's box office numbers or what Pattinson is doing. I want to know if Us magazine is talking out their ass about Angelina & Obama or if John Mayer is really sexing up JSimp and romancing JAniston.

Major bump - I was talking to my mom about an idea for a blog/site and I want to show her some examples of successful product review blogs so that she can see what I'm talking about. The fashion ones are easy to surface but are there other, more lifestyle (not GOOP) type ones?

I don't follow many blogs, but she can probably find a bunch via GOMI's "Stay on My Internets" thread. . .

I would also suggest your mom go on Pinterest and start looking up whatever type of products she's interested in. That can lead to some lifestyle blogs.
