I definitely think Joseph Gordon-Levitt should be more famous. He hates celebrity and wouldn't agree. Ah well. So long as he keeps acting. Still think he deserved an Oscar nomination for "The Lookout."

Some people not yet mentioned:
1) Julia Whelan: Probably most well-known as "Grace" on "Once & Again"--she was so well-regarded by critics but while her costar, Evan Rachel Wood, has enjoyed a successful Hollywood character, Julia's been virtually non-existant. Where is she?
2) Molly Price: How she never received even an Emmy nomination for her work on "Third Watch" is beyond me; but I thought she'd get more work after the show was cancelled; why isn't she even on one of those CSI clones? Ditto Jason Wiles.
3) Pretty Much, Anyone from "Popular"--why aren't Leslie Grossman and Tammy Lynn Michaels not starring in a sitcom? Heck, why haven't the writers of Ugly Betty got in touch with them? Leslie Bibb should've received a bigger role in Iron-Man.
4) Ian Somerhalder: He's pretty but of all the people who've died on Lost, he seems to be the only one who still isn't over it. I just wish him really well.
5) Deborah Gibson: Shut up, I really like her songs, and think she'd be a great songwriter for some of these younger musical artists.
6) Lisa Ling: I love her reports and love that she's the only person to be a regular part of The View *and* Oprah and still retain her dignity. I want to see her get her own show, and show all these news blowhards how to be a real journalist.
7) William Lee Scott: I loved him in October Sky, and I just saw him rock out during a guest part on ER. He needs more work!
8) After the shoutout for Scott Speedman, I wanted to throw some love for Tangi Miller and Amanda Foreman. Both so funny.

Joe Flanigan from Stargate Atlantis is just the hottest thing ever. Dude has Brad Pitt beat by a mile. I wish he was in more stuff than a cheesy sci-fi show.
I always thought Steve Zahn was funny. He was hilarious in Happy, Texas as the con man-turned-beauty pageant coach. It's too bad he doesn't seem to be in much these days.

I agree with you on Steve Zahn; I think he is hilarious in everything I've seen him in. I watch Saving Silverman every time it's on cable just for him.
How is William Fichtner not a bigger star? I think that man just oozes sex appeal. He seems to be highly regarded but to me it just seems like he isn't that well known to a lot of people.

Steve Zahn was also great in Rescue Dawn, too bad that movie flew under the radar and most people who did notice it seemed to only care about Christian Bale.
And I may or may not own Saving Silverman on DVD.

Steve Zahn was hysterical in Shattered Glass. One day it's my goal to work "N. As in, Not working" into a conversation.

Oh, man. Mary Cherry would rock Ugly Betty.

Well Mary Cherry was in that Jennie Garth/Amanda Bynes show that I thought was kind of cute. What I Like About You? I agree, though, all those Popular kids need to be doing better in Hollywood. Except Carly Pope. For some reason, I can't stand her.
My nomination for this thread is Jeremy Renner. He's so not popular that I had oto go look up what his name was. He played Jeffrey Dahmer in that 2002 Dahmer movie, and was able to get me crushing on a serial killer. I was reminded of him because he was in last weeks episode of House. I have never watched an episode of House in my life, and looked for a second and said "Hey! It's Dahmer!" and watched the whole thing (Hugh Laurie is very appealing, I see why people gush). He's had parts in Assassination of Jesse James, 28 Weeks Later, and SWAT, and he's kind of ugly, but has great charisma that I find very attractive. Does anyone else know this guy? Looks like he will be in a new movie with Guy Pearce and Ralph Fiennes, so let's hope that gives him a little more recognition.

Jeremy Renner rocks! And I don't find him ugly at all. He was pretty hot in 28 Weeks Later.

OMG, I love Jeremy Renner! I too discovered him in Dahmer and felt the same way. I even bought the DVD. He's also the main reason why I can't resist watching SWAT every time it's on TV. Well... him, Farrell, Martinez, LL, all varieties of fine men in that movie. He was incredibly hot with the tattoos, and shooting stuff, and the Hoyay with Farrell's character (well, at least in my head). Mmmm...He's not ugly or anything, but he has that Michael Pitt problem where he's too round/baby-faced for leading man material.
