CW: graphic details in linked article Yeah, the owl theory is outlandish, but some weird murders such as in this article are truly stranger than fiction. The Dennis Nilsen story is one of the most horrifying serial killer stories I've ever seen. That man was just pure evil. If you haven't seen the mini-series about him with David Tennant as Dennis Nilson I highly recommend it. It's disturbing though. It's called "Des" and Tennant is just brilliant in it.

That sounds like a great recommendation, cubanitafresca! It is streaming somewhere? AMC+ has it and so does Britbox. You can also purchase all three episodes on Amazon for $8.50 if you're really determined. Oh, wait Fandango at home has all three episodes for $4.99.

BBC article.I'm just horrified. Those poor kids. I don't think 20 years is enough.

It's Halloween and I thought of a unsolved murder that has haunted me (pun intended) for decades. It's the case of Alicia Showalter Reynolds, a young woman who went missing in 1996 and was found dead not too far where I live. Later, I found out that there have been multiple case of missing and murdered women on the "Route 29 Corridor".Any cases like these where you live?

Yers ago- for most of my youth and early 20's- I lived in Alberta, Canada. There was a string of murders and pretty sure it was a serial killer. There were bodies of woman being found around the city of Edmonton. The scariest (they were all horrific) case was that of Amber Tuccaro. She made a phone call while in the car with her killer. It was a call to a jail- so it was recorded. You can hear her fear. She was hitchhiking- this guy offered her a ride, she called her brother in prison while in the vehicle. You hear her asking where he is taking her, why is he going that way... Her body was found 2 years later. Here's a link to the story- with some of the audio. The police force really failed these girls. It's so sad and horrific.
