Wait, there was an option for "adult"?! Depends on where you live. The States only has the one version. Britain/Canada releases both kid and adult covers, because the picture on the dust jacket is also on the book itself. To cover those people who can't be seen reading a kid's book (heavens to Murgatroyd!), the adult covers were released. If you go to Raincoast's site (Canadian publishers), you can see the differences. And in a few hours, I will be heading to Flourish and Blotts to pick up my kid-cover version. Yay!

I am in the (very small) minority and have no interest whatever in buying the book. I just don't get why everyone and their mom loves it, much less thinks it's the BEST BOOK SERIES EVAR.
I am very excited to read spoilers, though.

I seen some other spoilers here. Not sure how accurate any of this stuff is, since I've seen spoilers about two different romantic pairings (concerning Harry).

Squee! 5 1/2 more hours!
It's a good thing I don't have to work tomorrow, because I'm going to be up all night reading.
I don't think it's the best. book. series. evah. but, it IS a very compelling read. I've read all five of the others at least three times through, GoF being my favorite. I hope Half Blood Prince isn't quite as dark as the Order of the Phoenix, because reading Angry Harry got a little tedious.
Anyway.... I can't wait!

Well, maybe since (IIRC) Roger Davies has graduated, Harry becomes Hogwarts' new Resident Man Ho.

Same here. I've also seen spoilers about three different Half Blood Princes. It kind of makes me feel better that I don't know which one to trust...I had resisted spoilers for so long, until yesterday when I just had to look. Stupid me.
Four more hours! I can't believe I'm actually going to a midnight release of something. I've never done this before. Leave it to Harry Potter to get me out at midnight...

Nooo!
Well, for the next two years I'll have to worry if JKR has ruined my favourite character.
The shipping doesn't please me either.
Yes, I'm being negative and emotional. Book Seven can potentially put me in an utter fury.

Karen, I don't think she has. I think there are some turns still to come.
(Stayed up all night too?)

I finished it at 6:30 this morning. I have to confess, slightly smugly, that I figured out who the Half-Blood Prince was right away. I'm so pleased. I also must say that the book ended exactly as I suspected it would, though I have to say the method with which it happened caught me off guard.
