Would now be a good time to mention that I like to rock, rock, rock, rock, rock - rock with the rock?

Hell no. Chick would never include those in his comics. Babel fish and God don't mix. Now it is such a bizarrely improbably coincidence that anything so mindbogglingly useful [the Babel fish] could have evolved by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as a final and clinching proof of the non-existence of God.
The argument goes something like this: "I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, 'for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."
"But," says Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED."
"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.
"Oh, that was easy," says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed at the next zebra crossing.
Sniff. RIP Douglas. Oh, god, mutagen, THANK YOU! I'd totally forgotten about that tract! "Rock with the rock." "I'll give you a little wedding present... some AIDS." Tee hee.

It's sad that I've been reading too much manga lately and forgot how to read comics the English way (left-to-right)! So rock is evil, huh? Country, too, and soul, and CLASSICAL?? Well it's a good thing rap is so popular now, seeing as Mr Chick hasn't called them evil yet....has he?

Can anyone name a public school that bans the mention of Thanksgiving? Off I go to Google! The first tract I ever saw, I was about 12, and I was visiting the house of a girl down the street. The family was very strict Christian. The tract was unforgetable -- "This Was Your Life." l remember the guy who was hiding in the alley looking at a pretty girl saying, "Nice!" and how that was his downfall into hellfire. I found it both fascinating and chilling. And apparently unsuccessful. Not only had I not converted after reading it, my Christian acquaintance was pregnant before senior year. Excuse me while I go download rock songs and have carnal relations with a man who is not my husband.

But no actual banning as far as I can read. Last year in US History we learned about the various Christian movements throughout US history, starting with Puritans and the like, but we also read "A People's History Of The United States" by Howard Zinn.

Well, with all of the anti-psychiatry sentiment in there, it's nice to know that Chick is now a Scientologist. I wonder if we'll be seeing a red carpet appearance with Tom and Katie?
