is my favorite period site for Sims 2. I think they will have exactly what you are looking for.
Wow, thank you so much for that link! The Victorian outfits are to die for!

My computer has been dead for a month, and I can't tell y'all how much I miss my Sims! Between this and my Barbies being packed up and stored for the house remodel, I have NOTHING to play with! *sniffle*
I still ordered the new expansion pack, though.

I can't wait till Open for Business comes out. I'm gonna open up a bakery. And we get robots and elevators. Why do I love this game so much?

I have realized that this game is my replacement for my Barbies that are locked up in the attic at my parents because we have no room here in our little house for them, plus our storage shed is outside which means a possiblity of mildew and I will not do that to my dolls. I can spend hours downloading stuff for my game The Well as well as the site it is hosted on The Well dressed Sim are two of my favorites. Also This Site has some of the prettiest wedding things for my simmies. XMSims is another great site for things, and they also have sims 1 stuff as well.

I like the house building stuff more than the actual people. I got tired of building the same old house so I started buying House Plan magazines. They have the drawings of houses in there. Except for diagonal walls, I've gotten some good ideas. Husband says I'm cheating but I don't care.

I'm with you, Persephone. I have a lot more fun building and decorating the houses than with the Sims themselves. I do like to create backstories for them, though.

I wish I had the patience to design houses. Mine all end up looking like boring boxes, so the house plan magazines idea sounds like a winner.
I also don't understand the roofs at all. Because I am dumb. I can't make them look pretty, and I don't get how the "hipped" thing and whatever the other thing is work.
Of course, half the fun for me is giving my Sims loads and loads of money so they can be extravagant and have huge houses. My boyfriend disapproves of cheating, but whatever. I get bored with them easily, so I may as well enjoy it while I'm playing.

I make mine rich but I also give one a job, just for something to do. I have characters for my SIMS. I have Margaret Houlihan and Hawkeye Pierce in the same house. I'm trying to get her in the military but the job hasn't popped up yet. I have Mulder and Scully in another house and some of the CSI people in the mix. I left the older rich couple for the "voices of reason" in the neighborhood. ;p
For my roofs, unless I have the mansion thing going I just make them flat. Which expansion pack offered that? Living Large? I can't remember. I'm still trying to figure out how to make covered patios. I spend a lot of time downtown too. I have coffee shops and computer stores, boutiques with underwear and swimsuits. Those are fun.

Did you guys know you can make basements in Sims 2? I don't think I can explain it well, but basically you build a foundation, go a level lower, push the ground down, build a totally enclosed wall area inside the ground (under the foundation) and you have a basement. I haven't done it, but I watched my boyfriend make one (sort of, so I could be messing things up).

Woo hoo! The Sims 2 site uploaded some pages from the Open For Business game guide and I am such a dork that I got giddy cause now you can make split level houses. I am just waiting now for Amazon to send me the game when it comes out later this week.
