Has anyone gotten open for businnes yet? I won't be able to get till Thursday. I'm dying to see if its a good expansion pack.

Has anyone tried to open a business yet? I've started a home business selling flowers and a little bakery. But it is really hard. I'm not making very much money yet.

I'm loving Open for Business (you know, when my computer decides to actually let me play instead of crashing every ten minutes), but it is definitely challenging. I've got a family that runs a bar out of their house and charges everyone to spend time there. Also, Lord Voldemort is running a toy shop next to Colonel Sanders' used car lot. I've taken to marking everything as at least "Expensive" in order to actually make money, and that's not even working very well. I've had to use the kaching and motherlode cheats several times just to get things going.

So far my favorite thing has actually just been the kids dancing with older sims. It's adorable.

My game kept crashing too. I had to uninstall all my games, expect I can't find the second disk for university so I had to leave it off.
But my game is running faster, but I just miss not having the pool table though.

My new favorite thing is the Simlish "New Wave" station on the radio! YES!

I want to get OFB, but my PC is already taking 10 minutes to load Nightlife. And it's not even 2 years old. So I don't think it can handle it. *pouts and sulks*

I've got a couple of questions about the Sims, hopefully you guys can answer. For the expansion packs, do you have to put the disc in or does it just add onto the actual Sims game, and does the Sims work on a Mac?

It has been a while, but I wanted to thank you guys for your help. I checked the website for the patches, and I already had those. I finally just uninstalled, and installed up to Vacation. My Livin' Large was not working, so that might have been the initial problem.

The Cupcake Kid: I might be able to help with the first question. Once you have installed The Sims , you can just install the expansion packs in order. Whichever one you install last, that is the disk you need in your CD rom drive (the ones with 2 disks, you use disk 1). Hope that is what you meant. As for the Mac question, I am not sure. There might be a special version for Macs?
