Hmm. It may have something to do with the camera mod I'm using. I use GunMod's Camera Mod (at Mod the Sims 2 under Game Mods > Config Mods), which allows you to zoom in and out really far in the neighborhood (among other things), and it might be because I can zoom out farther and I can drop the house there. I really don't know; I just moved it away from the rest of the houses to show what basic Pleasantview looks like.

I think I found a way; in the neighbourhood view you choose one of the options (I forget what it's called; it's the third button on the left-hand bar) which allows you to pick a house and then plop it anywhere you like on the map.

Has anyone else ever had a Sim who just wanted to be naked ALL THE TIME? Because one of my Sims, Camilla, just moved in her bf Nery Straight--they met on a blind date--and pretty much since he arrived he's been constantly naked. He gets out of the shower and doesn't change back into his clothes, just wanders around with only his little censor-blur for company for the rest of the day. He does get dressed to go to work, and he'll stay dressed until he has to shower, but once he's out of the shower he won't put clothes on unless I make him.

I'm wondering if this is a bug...or just some quirk of certain Sims. He does have 10 outgoing points, but I've had Sims like that before and while they did skinny-dip and stuff, they weren't into perma-nudity like Nery is.

It's a varying preference, if you use some hacks like the insim or autonomous casual romance you can look at your sim's stats and it will tell you what they prefer - the options being normal/underwear/naked. Which one they prefer depends on their personality points and what type of sims they are.

I find my naturist ones quite amusing as lots of my sims are very shy and are scandalised by the nude people running about.

Oh man, I am so many expansion packs behind...my laptop won't even run Pets, so I don't have anything beyond that. I fear some sort of spree once I actually have a computer with some grunt in it.

This thread cracks me up I love reading about all the crazy stuff Sims do.

A few of questions:

1. I can't seem to handle having more than one person in my households. I've tried two (mother or father and teenage kid, or man and woman, or man and man etc), but I just can't keep them happy! I don't have time to meet their basic needs and at the same time fulfill their wishes. I've tried with a bigger family (mother, father, two or three children) and it goes to hell within minutes. I could just ignore a few of them, but I hate it when my Sims start to yell at me because they're tired/hungry etc. I end up pausing the game constantly to organize their tasks, but that's really boring. Any advice?

2. I absolutely love to build houses, but I'm not very good at it yet. I have a couple of houses I'm really happy with, but more times than not they end up looking like factory buildings or something. Are there any sites out there where I can get ideas for Sim house building?

3. I have one fabulous Sim, Mina. She's very very happy with her life and are steadily working her way to the top in the athletics career. I've given her four or five boyfriends and she's madly in love with all of them. The problem is that the first guy she fell for is the one she always wants to talk to/kiss/dance with/hug etc, but he doesn't have a phone! To see him she has to stand outside and wait around in case he walks by. How can I solve this?

Btw, the nanny sucks. Usually, I fast forward when my adult Sims are at work, but the other day I decided to watch her while my Sims were away. She doesn't do anything with the kid, except feed him and change his diaper. (Because it's obviously too much to ask that a nanny potty train the kid she's watching!) She watches TV or just stands around doing nothing.

ETA one last thing: I've always wanted to elevate parts of the garden to build the house higher up, but I don't understand how to make the hill even... I feel like I have no control over the tool I use to do it.
