Aside from the witches, how is it? Are there any other good features? What's it like playing in an apartment?
I saw it at Target the other day and almost bought it, but I think it might cause my computer to asplode. I'm holding out for Sims 3.

This review is pretty accurate. I've only had it for a week, so I haven't explored everything. What I love most about the apartments is that you get to keep a lot of cash instead of spending it on a house, so you can use it to travel if you have the Bon Voyage EP. Or buy stuff that you need to gain skill points. But the main problem is the noisy neighbors. That's a bit too much like real life! P.S. I haven't tried getting a roommate yet, so I can't comment on that aspect of it.

I want the new Sims to come out. But it's going to break my pc. I know it. I want this apartment stuff too, but I definitely know for sure that my pc will die if I put one more expansion pack on it. Gah.

My PC is a 2004 model - so I was worried about that too. But, even though it does crash every now and then, it can still handle it so far.
But no way will it be able to handle Sims 3!

Yeah, my social life is pretty much shot for at least a month or so when this comes out. More game info... you can make your Sim a never-nude! Here's the complete list of traits (each Sim can have up to five): This game will be amazing!

I just saw that Sims 3 got pushed back to June. Argh!! What's going to be difference between Sims 3 and Sims 2 (besides the ability to make short sims, which i think is AWESOME!)? I think the features on Sims 2 is already pretty nice (this coming from a non-professional gamer), how much better can it get?!? Is it going to be a big jump graphics-wise like what happened from Sims 1 to Sims 2? I only ask because I'll be purchasing a computer in the near future and I wonder if I should take into account the purchase of Sims 3.

I wonder the same thing.
I hate to admit this but my 10yr old LOVES Sims. She loves games where you get to have a house and clothes and move around a world. I just discouraged her from spending her saved allowance money on Sims3...I just think that she should wait a few more months and see if there are massive bugs and glitches.

I've owned The Sims 3 for a while now and it actually isn't very buggy at all. The only problem I encountered at first was that the "fast" time speed wasn't very fast, but they've already released a fix for that. It's a lot of fun -- personality traits are a great addition.
