Question: We all get that Layne Bryant is a Big Girl store, not a real person to attack, right?
Or am I just too slow to catch on, if so carry on and disregard, disregard.

I had a thought today while brushing my teeth (don't know why that part is important, but it stays!). I realized that I would rather read an article by Wing's hated adversaries (and former Entertainment Weekly writers) Jim Mullen and Joel Stein than I would another edition of Celebrity vs. Thing. Seriously, the way that Wing (especially) makes Celebrity vs. Thing all about herself (which really doesn't bug me, its just that it isn't funny) is so Stein-esque and the humor in the pieces is sub-Mullen. There. I said it.
I like most of the other content on Fametracker and still visit on a fairly regular basis but Celebrity vs. Thing has failed to elicit even a smile from me.

Wing hates Mullen and Stein because...she jus' jellus!
She thinks that since her celebrity snark is so funny and so insightful, why can't she get a job at Entertainment Weekly? Anyway...

Is she the originator of the feud, or did the two attack her? And why would they do that? She's small fry. Or has she just dissed them publicly, and that's it? Inquiring minds want to know.
Back on topic, it does seem dumb to throw your personal life into sarcastic commentaries on celebrities.

I don't know if there was any real feud (between Mullen, Stein and Wing/FT), but she would ridicule Mullen because his Top Ten List (or whatever that thing was) was so painfully, obviously unfunny and Stein because his back page replaced the cool flashback thing that EW used to have as its back page and because he was unamusing (although I knew people who laughed at Stein's column, I never thought it was that funny or compelling).
As far as I know, there was nothing truly personal in her attacks, she was basically criticizing them as writers (which is fine) while at the same time praising EW writers like Dalton Ross. I don't know if Mullen or Stein even knew about her dislike of their writing. I don't think either ever dissed Wing or FT (or TWoP) but I could be really wrong about that.
My real point was that some of the stuff Fametracker puts out these days is as obvious and unfunny as stuff written by Stein or Mullen.

Nah, there's nothing after God. But my joke was that since they were so involved with 'something vs. thingy,' I would describe their present position as "The Losers vs. Cheap Liquor," hence implying that they were fighting an addiction to alcoholism, hence their change for the worse. Oh come on, like they'll listen to us now. Eh, let them. The joke's on them when nobody but the inside group visits and they end up paying for the bandwidth just the same. Pretty much, yeah.

I really do miss the Gerard Butler, Phantom of The Opera, Eric Bana, and Troy threads. That was some good stuff. Alas, I too missed the final days, I was too busy trying to find a job and writing papers. I do kind of miss Fametracker though, it's where I lost my celebrity messageboard snark virginity.
I too hated the oh my God, how can he be married to her and vice versa. There was quite a lot of it in the Eric Bana thread.

I only went to FT for the forums. I haven't even peeked at it since March. The nice thing about FT and TWoP is the moderation. No trolls, and intelligent, coherent conversation. The horrid thing about FT and TWoP is the moderation. Talk about control freaks! Sometimes, it would be nice to post whatever the hell you want without fear of reprisal. Kind of like coming to CPMCoG! ;D

I loved reading the forums, but I barely posted. I couldn't believe that the requirement of reading the last 20 pgs before posting, so I mostly just lurked. I'm sad to hear that Fame Audits are gone for good. Those are what got me hooked on FT in the first place!

Not to be an FT apologist, but it was 15 days or 15 pages of posts. It actually is a good common sense guideline, if only so the same question/link/topic wasn't mentioned over and over and over or mentioned in the page or post right before. I can understand that 15 pages can be a lot but really, would 3 or 4 be too much to ask? Sorry, but I've been on other boards where people can't be bothered to read anything that came before their "oh, so important" post and it can really bug.
