Same here. They were boring and rather weird.
I never got into the Oscar Roundups (probably because I don't watch/read about the Oscars), but the Fame Audits were my favourite thing (apart from the Forums), although sometimes I had no idea who it was who was being audited. I think it was because of Gwhiney's audit that I found FT.
But, once I really got into the Forums, I usually forgot to check the main site at all.

Originally, I liked the Galaxies of Fame the best, but they started getting tired. The Hey, It's That Guys were generally lost on me because, well, I usually didn't get who 'that' guy was. Fame Audits eventually became my favorite thing. But I'm afraid the whole thing turned into a 'we're so funny we can just scribble out anything without even trying' sort of thing. I loved the forums, but got sick of certain posters who had their heads so far up the moderators' asses they'd need the jaws of life to get back out (not to mention that fact that the moderators clearly adored having people's heads up their asses). So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that This lovely (yet snarky!) place will stay cool.

I found FT because sometimes, I email my brother a picture collage of a lot of random and mostly B- or C-list actors and former celebrities, just to be weird. I found Joe Mantegna's pic on the H!ITG, and an obsession was born. My favorites are the Fame Audits, but I was always a little disappointed when I'd get through the thing and they'd rate the person's as famous as they should be. What the hell is that? Blah.
The Fame Audit (the original, not the stupid fake past-Fame Audit--remember that?) of CEBnPMFMJPeePeeDancePedoPan is still one of the funniest things I've read online (for some reason) and I go back to read it now and again.
The asterisk never made any sense.
The Bagels v. CZJ? I refused to read that.
I used to religiously take their quizzes, and I just happened to take one the other day and was very disappointed w/ the amount of responses they'd had--it was well over 1,000. Which surprises me somewhat.

Carrier, I took one of their quizzes too not so long ago, just to see how many people had bothered. So a lot of the votes could be people voting out of curiosity.

But, once I really got into the Forums, I usually forgot to check the main site at all. Yeah, I was only reminded of it when Wing would start posting a bunch of obscure actor names in Celebrities that I never heard of before, and almost always, nobody would participate in the threads. I always knew when you saw Amanda Reed Farquahr and Philly Joe Bonano and Emma June Butts and Koria Bwendo Lichtenstein that Wing was at it again with some article that nobody on the site really cared about reading.

Agreed. I lurked forever on FT forums (too afraid of unwittingly violating an obscure posting taboo and getting a smackdown by the mods) and have to say that while admittedly I snickered at some of the stuff on the main site, the times when I nearly (read: actually) fell off my chair laughing were as a result of certain posts in the forums. I'm sure the people in the offices on either side of me are now deeply concerned. Now that I've plucked up the courage to do this posting thing, I'm glad to see so many familiar faces (metaphorically speaking), and no doubt my colleagues can continue to worry about me.

Oh yeah! And then she was so against opening threads on royals (other than Chuck, Di, Will and the Nazi) who were way more famous than some people on there.

the MSNBC on-internet Oscar duel (click on "Oscar Predictions")between she who shall not be named and a certain other smug and sanctimonious sort who shares a name with the acronym for a deadly viral disease. The video feed actually made me cringe and leave the room, I was so embarrased for them. I really can't imagine that they'll have much of a following there after crap like this. Wow, I just watched that for the first time. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Making stupid faces and yelling, "You're overrated"? Uh huh.

That Oscar Predictions link never works for me. Is it posted anywhere else?
