Jaghetersimon, do you have a hi-speed connection? I recall from when the vid was originally linked posters saying that it didn't work at all with dial-up.

I have a high-speed connection and it doesn't work for me, either.

Just watched that oscar fight clip. Hmm, that was...interesting. Explains a lot.
So I wonder how far FT's "hits" have dropped since the forums closed?

I've noticed that the responses to those polls they have on their main page are significantly less numerous than they were before the death of the forums.

Originally, I liked the Galaxies of Fame the best, but they started getting tired. The Hey, It's That Guys were generally lost on me because, well, I usually didn't get who 'that' guy was. Fame Audits eventually became my favorite thing. To try and weigh in on the positive side - I thought Two Actors, One Slot was a genius idea. Haven't you even confused a couple of B-listers? The best one was the battle of "Brad Johnson vs. Bill Campbell vs. Bill Pullman vs. Jeff Daniels vs. Bill Paxton". As for articles - I'll be charitable and say some of them were real funny. But it's hard to be consistently funny. Especially with an air of bitterness and ennui washing over you.

Today: Tom Hanks vs. Bath Puffs?
I feel terribly bewildered...

Okay, I'm saying this as someone who really enjoys the Fametracker articles (especially Fame Audits and 2 Stars, 1 Slot, if anybody gives a crap):
Celebrity vs. Thing sucks ass. I really don't see the point. I know I should be liking them ironically or something, but I can't bring myself to care. It's just so... desperate to be clever.

I'm definitely now realizing that you guys and your brand of snark was the real influence behind the articles since it's turned into a desert of "ugh".
Do you know that the man from funkle actually posted on TWoP asking for their opinion on the death of tvshows? Some poster (and I remember this exactly) posted if he was hard up for ideas that he had to ask others to help him write his article. That post was deleted.
I miss the motherboard though.
