Exactly. I don't get when people say, "How do you know you're gay if you haven't ever had sex?!" That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You don't have to have sex to have a sexual orientation. Sadly, I've never uh, done the deed, but I know I'm straight. I suspect it would be the same with someone who is gay.

I thought that what Jonathan was saying sounded really stupid. And if he's that dumb now, how dumb must he have been seven years ago? If Terry was as smart as she wants us to think she is, she would've never married a guy this dumb. And it pissed me off that she kept screaming about HIV even though she admitted that she had sex with him they day she met him in Jamaica. I'm sure she used a condom, but still, she fucked a stranger on an island! It just seems homophobic to me that she would freak out about HIV because he's gay when she certainly put herself at risk the first time she was with him.

Apparently, HIV is only a gay disease, didn't you know that? It's okay to have sex with some strange guy you just met, as long as he's straight.

Thank god these two never bred.

Terry and Jonathon on Oprah was just painful! To think that Terry McMillan is an old fool, the mother of a child and has absolutely no gaydar... and Oprah, don't you have enough money? Why did you need to pimp these two dumb hoes?!?

For real. I can't remember the exact quote, but Terry was talking about how Jonathan first tried to tell her that although he's gay, he hadn't had sex with a man. Then she said that she didn't believe that and made the alcoholic-without-ever-having-a-drink comparison. Then a few minutes later in the interview, Oprah phrased a question in a way that gave Jonathan the benefit of the doubt as to whether or not he'd had sex with a man yet, and Terry goes "I SAIDDDD!" (as though she was so proud to have thought up the little metaphor) and then repeated the same comment again. That woman is messed up.

And I think the interview showed that Terry wasn't really conned into any of this, because con artists have to be smart. And Jonathan seemed seriously dumb. So for him to have been able to con her into this, that would mean that she would have to be an even bigger dumbass than him.

And back at you, Guin. I can assure you that I'm gay and too am still a virgin (relatively). And, no, I ain't no damn alcoholic, Miss McMillan.

What a humiliating experience for all three of them - Terry, Jon and Oprah! Terry acted as if she were drunk or drugged, Jon (who is even gayer than Star's husband) seemed totally clueless, he couldn't even remember his story for more than 5 minutes. And Oprah - what was she thinking to participate in this train wreck?

After about 30 minutes, I turned to another channel. After all the recriminations, it came out that Terry and Jon shared a bathtub a few nights before and he stayed overnight at her house. But nothing happened!

I wonder if Terry realizes that this situation actually saves face for her, as opposed to if Jon had left her for a woman his own age. In that case, she would have had to accept that she's not as hot as she thinks she is, plus all the other things she thought she had to offer (intelligence, success, worldliness and so forth) didn't count as much as looks. This way, she doesn't have to admit any inadequacies; she gets to yell, "He's a FREAK! He's STUPID!" and put the focus on him, instead of the fact that the main (only?) appealing thing about her was her money.

I was almost embarrassed to watch these two a***s on TV; I swear I covered my face a few times. I think it was a total waste of an episode, even though they thought that they were helping other people (who are in DL relationships... STUPID ID**TS!!). Nothing meaningful, or even remotely worthwhile, came out of that show... I'm still trying to figure out the whole point of it?!!

I do enjoy her books, but her personality sucks. I think she acted very childish.
