Wow, I didn't really feel like being attacked, but it was common knowledge at the "Old Place, that is not spoken of". There were several times when she did speak about it before her mother died.

Well, straightforward in the sense that the quotes are attributed to her. I think that article is complete BS. There are three quotes from Bullock that she gave in an interview to whom? For what purpose? Where? and when? I just don't buy it.
As far as her new husband, he seems yucky.

That was not meant to be an attack at all. I just thought it was funny that you would casually refer to her being adopted because I'd never heard that before anywhere. Is there a link to where she's talked about it?

I'd never heard she was adopted either--and though I haven't seen many pictures of her mother, I remember from the one or two I have seen that Sandra bore a striking resemblance to her.

Exactly. If she had made those comments all *at the same time*, then why is it so hard finding the excerpts from magazines and newspapers?

Since all of the articles date from March 2005, I'd say she probably said them at the press junket for Miss Congeniality 2. That's where Contact Music usually gets their quotes. I've never heard them be accused of making up quotes, even if they do embellish the context. If you go to Getty Images and type in "Helga Bullock" there are pictures of them together, and Sandra is a younger version of her mother--same eyes, same nose, same mouth, same hair. |

When I Googled "Helga Bullock," I got several hits mentioning that Sandra and Gesine were "born to" Mrs. Bullock and her husband.

No Sandra news or anything ... just me posting to say how great it is that we haven't really seen or heard from Sandra at all. She's just off enjoying herself and her new marriage without feeling like she has to pimp it out.
About a month ago, maybe a little more, I read a short blurb in our local Boston paper how Sandra was up in VT helping out her sister in her sister's new bake shop. It appeared she was just helping her sister (actually working the counter, etc) instead of trying to help her sister cash in on her fame.

Actually, Sandy's gotten some local press here in Austin from helping out with some of the hurricane relief efforts. She donated at least one truck and driver to the Mobile Loaves and Fishes organization to aid in their work, and she was seen at the Austin Convention Center serving meals to the 5,000 evacuees housed there. No photos, no press releases--just pitching in and giving.
We need more Sandys.
