Man, I don't remember that stuff at all. It either flew straight over my head, or I was an extremely jaded eleven-year-old, because I don't remember being traumatized by his books at all.

I just re-read Chain Letter 2 last night, and was genuinely creeped out by the Satanism aspect of it. I read it numerous times when I was in jr. high, but for some reason it still freaked me out enough that I had nightmares last night!!
I LOVED Remember Me. There were 2 or 3 sequels to that one too, but if I remember correctly they got kind of weird. Same thing with The Last Vampire series - the first and second were really good but then they got pretty hard to follow.
My favorite were The Final Friends. They weren't even really scary - I just thought the characters were really well-developed. I have to see if I can dig them up somehow.
I did read one of his adult books a few years ago. I think it was called The Cold One. It was really good but had some of the strange supernatural stuff he gets into that threw me off a bit.

Oh I have found my literary thread !! I was hoping someone would start this one. There was one on FT that I always lurked on. Does anyone remember Spellbound? I had SUCH a crush on Bala the African exchange student. When he carried the girl all the way back to her car from the river I was swooning ! One of my favorites was Gimmie a Kiss and Last Act. I also reread the Final Friends series tons of times. I liked the first Chain Letter and the first Remember Me but I hated his sequels. There was a story called Master of Murder? I think that was the name of it. ... about a mystery writer that is famous and nobody knows who he is. Until finally he reveals himself and he's this guy in high school. Wow I have so many of his books. Right up until they started to get weird after Sati(sp?). The one about the young girl that thought she was god . I liked The Immortal also and Slumber Party. I always felt sorry for the girl that was burned in Slumber Party until she decided to kill everyone. Evil! I've read Weekend so many times too I feel like I know every line of that book. Oooo and I remember the Scavenger Hunt book. Wasn't that freaky?

Scavenget Hunt I remember being creepy, but I forget the "twist" ending. I think I kow exactly where that book is at my dad's house.... I think I'll re-read it tonight.
I also really liked the Immortal.
Starlight Crystal was another one of my favorites.

I totally remember that book with the ground up glass in the hamburger. And I think I still have all three books in the Remember Me trilogy somewhere. I also remember one that was about a bunch of kids in a hospice and they each told a story... I can't remember the name of it, but I remember reading it a couple of times. It seems the only thing I really remember about his books are those little details but not the actual plot. Like in the first Remember Me book, Shari says that she calls her friend Amanda "Bliss," because the word ananda in Sanskrit means bliss and it's close to Amanda. So last night I was watching some show on TV, and one of the people was named Ananda, and I turned to my mother and said, "Ananda means bliss in Sanskrit." I have no idea if that's legitimately true, but it sounded impressive. Thank you, Christopher Pike.

Yeah and calling Amanda "Bliss" was sarcastic right because she was so solumn and withdrawn.
Wasn't the book about the dying kids called The Midnight Club? And they all made a pact that when they died they would try to make contact with the living kids so that they would know there was life after death. Then the one girl got better and got to leave so she felt guilty that she was going to live. And I believe there was some kind of sign from one girl that died.
The worst part about Scavenger Hunt is that basically that one kid is the walking zombie of the main characters friend.

I believe that was The Midnight Club.
Another good one was Road to Nowhere -- when the girl catches her boyfriend cheating with her best friend, so she runs away from home and picks up two odd hitchikers, and the three of them tell stories all night. The night gets really weird and the girl finally realizes she is actually dying...she tried to commit suicide earlier in the night and the two hitchikers are actually angels of death.
One of the things that always stuck out to me in these books is that there was always a beautiful, BAD girl. And her body was always described as "nasty" or "naughty". CP was quite the perv.

Is Road To Nowhere the one where the girl goes to get an abortion? or am I getting it confused with another story?

No, that's Whisper of Death. Another creepy one. If I remember correctly, the main character (Rox?) goes to get an abortion but decides not to have it, and she and her boyfriend go back to town where they find its empty. No civilation anywhere in the world, except for a few random friends around town who are all liked in some way to some creepy girl Betty Sue (or something). They find weird little stories she wrote about them before she killed herself, and find that the stories are coming true and they are killed off one by one. Turns out Rox was still on the operating table having an abortion through the whole thing, and the reincarnate was supposed to be Betty Sue...or something like that.

Oh that book freaked me the hell out. It was so gross. Another gross one was the book in which all the characters turn into these gross human eating monsters.
I loved the book Witch about the girl with the power to heal and see the future in her pond. It had an interesting message about changing the future. Also loved Gimme a Kiss, I always wanted to know what happened next.
