It always grossed me out that at the end of Fall into Darkness the main character had to sleep with her lawyer.
Remember Me was a really good one. I loved her crazy friend who thought that when you gave someone herpes, you then got rid of the herpes. Too bad that didn't work with Katie Holmes. I always wondered what happened to the main character after the end. I think she would have trouble blaming her crazy friend for everything. I doubt people would believe her story but than the cop seemed interested in her so maybe he would help her out.

Linared, I can't believe I know this but I think the book with the chick at the end thinking that herpes was something you got rid of like a gift or something was Gimmie a Kiss. Anyone want to verify that?
Remember Me, was about the girl who was pushed off the balcony and stayed around as a ghost to find out who did it. Her brother had diabetes and so did her friend. It was the one with a little incest in it....

It was Gimme a Kiss, I'm not sure why I typed Remember me. Both pretty good books.

Aw. I remember almost all of these. The way the kid was killed in "Die Softly" still haunts me. Horrible.

I think I have almost all of Pike's books amd they occupy a proud shelf in my room. I still love them - I rate the Last Vampire series as one of my favourites of all time and Sita one of my heroes. I always cry at them too.
His adult stuff and latest stuff is not so fun, I'm reading the Alosha trilogy but it's not really sticking with me between books.
I loved Russ and Sara in the Final Friends trilogy, as well as the other main couples, and had one of those crushes on Bala too! The Wicked Heart, The Midnight Club, and The Starlight Crystal would probably be my favourite stand alones, I liked the ones which were a bit deeper than the teen horror type ones.
Ten years later and I'd still rate Pike in my favourite authors - so many of his books are just awesome.

Which one was The Midnight Club? I've read so many of his books that they sometimes blur together in one scary-sexy supernatural blur.
I still credit Christopher Pike with teaching me the fine art of foreshadowing. Scary-sexy foreshadowing.

Midnight Club is the one with Ilonka and other teens who have terminal diseases and are at a hospice? They meet at midnight to tell each other stories.

OH YEAH!!! Ha. It's slowly coming back to me now. Great, now I have the urge to go see if the used bookstore has any of Pike's stuff. I did that last weekend. I picked up a bunch. and I got them 1/2 off because they were running a special where books by authors with the last name P were 1/2 off!!!

My library had a book sale last weekend where you could fill a bag for $3.00. I got a ton of YA paperbacks, including 5-6 Christopher Pike books. I read one of them last night that I don't think I read as a kid, called The Lost Mind, about a girl that wakes up in the woods next to a dead body with no memory and she finds out there is all this supernatural crap going on. It was entertaining but SO, SO, so totally unrealistic (duh). Last Act is up next. I only fully remember the plots of Slumber Party and Chain Letter, because I reread them each like 100 times. Anyway, it was much better than R.L. Stine's Cheerleaders: The Second Evil, which I also picked up.

Midnight Club is the one with Ilonka and other teens who have terminal diseases and are at a hospice? They meet at midnight to tell each other stories. And they make a pact that whichever one dies first finds a way to let the others know that life after death exists. I don't remember The Lost Mind at all! I think you are going to like Last Act. Slight spoiler... I believe it's less 'supernatural' than some of his books. Like it could happen if given the right combination of (devious) people. If I remember correctly
