I've read a couple of spoilers so far but they just seem so unreal I can't really take them seriously.
Breaking Dawn comes out on 4th August in UK. I'm gonna need to avoid the internetz like crazy till I get my hands on the book.

The wankstorm will be epic, though. It has already started, there's a huge wank about the spoilers reported over on fandom_wank. (I'm not linking to it because I don't want to tempt anybody here who wants to avoid spoilers.) Oh, I know. (How I love fandom_wank.) I just think it will get more so once everybody gets the books and can no longer deny the veracity of the spoilers (close enough to spoiler that I feel better whiting it out - I know how I can get about things I don't want spoiled).

Just wanted to say, that I tried so hard to stay away from these books, but I decided to read Twilight and devoured it in 2 days, and now add me to the list of people that are in love with a ficitonal vampire. I bought the other books, they are on their way, but I have to ask, does this author learn new words besides "blushing" and "glaring" in the other books? Also, man, Bella would say one little thing and suddenly Edward is "furious" at her. These two were just too much! Such crap books, so addictive.

Should I succumb? Should I conform? Or should I hold strong?

And Bella's gasping. And her heart stopping when Edward would look at her/kiss her/blow his nose, etc. The dialogue, cringe. But yes, Edward is Teh Hotness. Give in, Ripley!

Oh, they don't get any better as the series progresses. In fact, they get horrifically worse. Mind, I couldn't put them down and read them in multi-hour-long stints because I was so enthralled, but the writing doesn't get any better. They're quintessential beach reads: horribly written with terrible characterization, but addictive.

For some reason, the thought of them getting horrifically worse makes me even more excited!! I don't think they will be in my mail until Saturday though. I can't WAIT!!
I must admit, I wish I had read the books before seeing the pictures of the actors that were cast. I have no idea what my mind would conjure up thinking about the most beautiful perfect boy in the world having dark shadows under his eyes, and pale veiny skin like marble. Some really hot crack head with gold eyes, I guess.

To me, they read like fan fiction. Me, too. Like fan fiction of a much, much better book.

Does anyone have the new book yet? My roommate ordered it from Amazon and I can't wait to get it. Dang it! I'm going to have to wait till tomorrow and I have so much to do tomorrow. I just can't bring myself to go to a bookstore and buy it though. Can't afford it for a book I don't know I'll even love.
