There were always stores who put the Harry Potter books on sale before the date marked on the boxes. People frequently don't use their brains at work.

Err - Topic? I liked the first book, but didn't like the writing of the next two. However, since I do want to resolve the plot, I'm on the reserve list for book 4 at my local library.

My roommate ordered it. I don't know when I will get it, but I can't wait till I get off work on Friday. If you order it through amazon, do you get it in the morning or what on the day it comes out? anyone know?

With Harry Potter, at least, they were pretty good about getting it to you that morning. I imagine it's probably going to be the same this time.

Also, I'm totally stupid, because when I read that the book was found at an airport, I thought that like, literally one copy was left by someone and it was found there. It didn't even occur to me that a store was selling it. Dur.

But that reminds me, I do work at a bookstore. I think I might have to sneak into the backroom tomorrow just to stare at the boxes!

Its leaking like wildfire through the 'net that the book was released too early. So far, I have been able to avoid the spoilers, but I don't know if I will be able to avoid them until Saturday. Yargh.

My SIL's Harry Potter came from Amazon at 5pm. She just about went crazy waiting all day. I am just going to head up to Wal Mart Saturday morning for Breaking Dawn. That is what I did with Deathly Hallows and as much as I hate the Evil Empire, they sell their books cheaper than everyone else.

I will be traveling this weekend in the middle of nowhere (Wal Mart is everywhere, that is why I knew I could count on them, the bastards) but I will look for a bookstore.

Its hard to support a local bookstore when Amazon/Superstore offers such better prices. I am not going to pay full price for this (probably terrible) book when i can save $10 or so dollars buying from Amazon.

And I know this doesn't necesarily belong in this thread - but what is so wrong about buying books from Amazon or a large chain store? The selection and price is a lot better than you can get elsewhere.

Oh man, I'm totally avoiding spoilers but I must admit I'm more interested in the trainwreck aspect of the books instead of, y'know, actually enjoying them. I am REALLY excited at the prospect of the fandom imploding on itself. It's gonna be an awesome weekend.
