I thought the middle book dragged with the whole Jacob thing. Probably because the vampire in love with a mortal is really the hook of the story. I can't wait to read the next one. My roommate ordered it via Amazon and she said that even if she's not there, I get to open the box and read away. Three more weeks!

Wow, that cover is...wow. I'm actually embarrassed right now.

I am shocked that a year after Harry Potter I'm again dealing with booksellers melting down over a kids book.

Well, I am officially hooked. About a year ago, my friend called and said, "Drop what you are doing, get in your car, go to the bookstore, and buy "Twilight". But I was knee-deep in Harry Potter and I was like, eh, not interested. Then I was reading the Entertainment Weekly last week with the terrible cover (seriously, I cringed when I pulled it out of the mailbox) and I thought that maybe I needed to check it out. I have had the opposite reaction as you guys though, I thought that "Twilight" was meh, "New Moon" was better and "Eclipse" was fantastic. I started Wednesday afternoon, and finished the series about 1am this morning. Who needs sleep?
I started out really not liking Bella, but then she and her spunkiness grew. And Edward brings out the teenager in me. The dialogue is cringe-worthy, but Meyer has done a really good job of creating this atmosphere. I have had the same reaction as you guys especially during Eclipse, I was all, "Please just do it already!" Mainly because I have to admit that I was curious whether vampires could have sex in this world.
I think that Bella is starting to chicken out on her decision to turn, that is why she is holding on to Jacob so tight. But, I don't see how Meyer can tear Edward and Bella apart at this point. Not after "New Moon" which did drag, but I enjoyed the angst. Speaking of, in "New Moon" was Bella just hallucinating Edward's voice? I was hoping that somehow, he was still keeping tabs on her. And Edward? Big honkin crush. I really don't want to see him get hurt. My prediction is that Jacob will imprint with another girl (Leah?) and that will end the triangle.
Cheesy fun!

Has anyone read the first chapter to "Midnight Sun"? I liked "Twilight" and it is far and away much better. I know that some have complained that Edward is a boring character, but this insight into his point of view is fascinating and much more interesting than Bella, IMO.

Ok, someone on another forum I am on posted that they found a copy of Breaking Dawn in a crappy airport. I don't know if I believe this. They then summed up the epologue to it. IF its true, I will cry, no sob. Its just so horrible.
I'm going to spoil it here: Bella and Edward have a baby, who Jacob imprints on. Bella is a "love shield" and saved everyone during some big battle.
Sounds bad, yes? I hope its a hoax.

I'm gonna resist the spoiler, but the whole story sounds suspect. Just found it at an airport? Hmm...seems unlikely that someone who had a copy of the book would be that careless.
I am, however, going to throw in my bet for what happens: (no spoilers, just guessing!) there's no way that Bella will get turned into a vampire -- no way, no how. I bet there'll be some stupid way for like, Edward to become un-vampired or something and they'll get to grow old together. Or maybe she'll get old and Edward wont, who knows, but there ain't know what she's gonna be anything less than a human at the end of that book.

My totally unspoilered guess (I resisted looking, I could not do it!) is that both Edward and Bella die and meet up in some form of afterlife.

Yeah, the person is claming that because the airport is in southern Texas (EL Paso I believe) that the non-English speaking staff put it up early. However, this person is claming its her sister who found it, and although she's texted the poster about things, she hasn't taken a photo or anything, which would be proof.

I don't understand how they got into the stores because the boxes are red and white and say clearly do not put on sale until August 2nd. How receiving missed one..idiots.
