I hate the new Gawker/Jezebel layout. HATE IT! The comments have been very unfavorable.

I'm so glad I found where people were bitching about gawker/jezebel redesign. I was pissed this morning! My head hurt like hell (see Health & Wellness thread), it's Monday, I'm sharing my work space with somebody who is working on a completely messed up conference/training that is totally screwed up right now so there's osmotic stress flowing into my workspace, and then I can't figure out how to read damn websites that are my usual mindless go-tos.

I've hated the redesign about three re-designs ago. They just keep making it worse. Oh and THEN the un-awesome announcement about AOL buying Huffington Post. A.O.L. I thought their horrible merger with Time-Warner would effectively kill them. Why are they still alive?

I hate the new redesign too. It is also one of my waste time at work sites. Except that they keep a pretty close eye on what Internet sites we are on so I always check it out on my cell phone. Only with the new redesign it doesn't display on my non-Apple phone at all.

Perez was WAY OUT of line when he called that contestant a **** to her face no less and franky he had no business judgeing a beauty pageant. A difficult question, bad enough, but then that vulgar insult. He should have never been there in the first place.

Agreed, talkbox. It was a freaking beauty contest (sorry- scholarship competition!) in which the women paraded around in bathing suits and they ask a contestant about a purely political, highly emotionally charged issue. It didn't matter how she answered, she was going to make someone in the room angry. Not just offended, but ANGRY. As the baby in the e*Trade commercial said, "Not the venue." Unless you are a complete piece of shit famewhore who doesn't mind sacrificing another person in order to get your name in the headlines. In which case, referring to said person as a "c#^t" is a bit like shitting where you eat.

I concur with the Gawker/Jezebel redesign hate. I can't even figure out how to read the comments (the best thing about the sites imo) anymore. I've noticed that there are less people commenting now too.

Add me to the hate chain. I go to Gawker, Deadspin, and Jezebel multiple times a day but not this week. I am really hoping they change it back. They are all about page views, so if people stop going, it might make a difference.

after trying AGAIN to read Jezebel, I have to pile on about how bad the redesign is as well. who thought of that? the set-up makes no sense to me - I can't tell what is even actually posted that I might want to read. They have to be losing readers - I'm not messing with it any more until they change it, it's too frustrating.
