Not to mention that they are doing it under the shadow of their father's horrific behavior, and doing it with their heads held high. I'm sure there are some who would believe they are doing this because of Andrew's mess, to take attention away from it. But it would be very logical and practical for them to hide from attention in light of all of that, and they're not. I give them props for that.

Ive always had a soft spot for the York Girls they can’t help who their parents are and the British media tore them to pieces as teenagers and onwards over all sorts including their looks and weight.
They do seem to have projects that mean a lot to both, Beatrice is dyslexic herself and Eugenie has been very open about her scoliosis and is also involved in charities regarding that too.

I wonder if there isn't some truth to the rumors that they might take a more active role in royal life in the coming years, to make up in part for Harry's loss. Everyone is aging, the Kents and Gloucesters won't be around forever, and it would help to have some younger faces in the mix. Also doesn't hurt to have them engaged in the run up to the Jubilee and separating themselves from their father's mess.

I like Bea or at least I admire the way she has gone about her life in recent years. She's discreet enough not to figuratively show her ass in public, unlike both her parents. It could have been so much worse despite enjoying a clearly extremely privileged lifestyle and probably still not "letting her job get in the way of enjoying life." And there was a documentary where she was doing up the Wendy House at Windsor and she was really passionate about it.
I do support both of them having public projects that have nothing to do with their parents. And this is a good one for her considering her own dyslexia and her patronages. She's written a couple of good pieces about growing to love reading despite it as well, which is great.

Apparently the word now is that Charles wants to change the 1937 law about who should be considered the four Counsellors of State now that QEII is gone. After her death, the four would be: William, Harry, Andrew, and Beatrice. He wants to change it so that the last three can't be in the list of four because they're not working royals. I guess I missed where Beatrice isn't a working royal. How come this isn't talked about more like it was when Harry exited and Andrew as demoted?

Apparently the word now is that Charles wants to change the 1937 law about who should be considered the four Counsellors of State now that QEII is gone. After her death, the four would be: William, Harry, Andrew, and Beatrice. He wants to change it so that the last three can't be in the list of four because they're not working royals. I guess I missed where Beatrice isn't a working royal. How come this isn't talked about more like it was when Harry exited and Andrew as demoted? It has come up a lot. Beatrice works for Afiniti and Eugenie works for an art gallery in London. Or at least they used to, not sure either are working full time at the moment because of mat leave and Eugenie moving to Portugal. Harry and Meghan specifically mentioned both York sisters in their tantrums both by name and their "others are allowed to do it!" statements because Bea and Eugenie still have HRH. However they ignored the fact that both girls use "York" at work. Neither have HRH Princess Beatrice/Eugenie all over their company websites as Harry has "Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex" all over his better up bio page and everything else. For example this is Beatrice's LinkedIn page which makes no mention of being a Princess. linkThe attend or used to attend events like Trooping which also got Harry and Meghan's goat but haven't done the balcony since Harry and Meghan left and were not invited to any events that Harry and Meghan weren't at the Jubilee (they attended the concert and parade but Harry and Meghan had left in a huff by then). But even if they had they aren't directly trying to make money off their titles and have never trashed the family. It's one reason why many were surprised that Eugenie and Jack were still friendly with Harry and Meghan because those two had deliberately targeted the York girls in their "it's not fair!" whining. Apparently Andrew was upset that neither his mother or Charles were supportive of his daughters becoming working royals in the same way the Dukes of Kent and Gloucester and Princess Alexandra did. At one point it was alleged that Bea wanted to do more official events at the Diamond Jubilee but William wasn't sympathetic (and really hated her bf at the time Dave Clark) but they both seem to be doing alright and Bea and Edo seem close to William now.

I definitely thought Bea looked more pulled together at the Vogue event than she had the evening prior at the V & A museum’s Coco Chanel exhibit. At that event she looked like she’d just come in from a windstorm, although her dress was lovely.
Plus I’d definitely rather wear Bea’s dress than that monstrosity Eugenie is wearing.
