That pisses me off too. Art buyers never seem to leave feedback - I've sold over 100 of my paintings, and my feedback over there is 87! No negative feedback - just no feedback perdiod! Yet, I've gotten emails from the buyers telling me how happy they are with my artwork, etc. Well then leave the friggin' feedback! Most of my feedback is from stuff I've bought, saying what a fast payer I am!

I feel weird bugging people for feedback -- like I'll appear needy and grabby.
In my particular case (where she hasn't responded to my inquiry OR left any feedback) I can see on her profile that she has left it for others so it's not like she doesn't ever leave it. I'm baffled.
WelshCorgiGirl -- I know what you mean. By paying on time, the buyer has fulfilled their end of the bargain and I really ought to leave that feedback right away but I am afraid of those petty buyers out there so I'm reluctant to give up the only hand I've got.
India7, your situation is even more irritating because you know they got it, you know they like it...and they haven't left feedback? How much longer did it take them to write you the email. The mind, it boggles.

India7, your situation is even more irritating because you know they got it, you know they like it...and they haven't left feedback? How much longer did it take them to write you the email. The mind, it boggles. Immediately, most times. Because I always email when I ship letting them know what date it went out. And I always ask them to please let me know when it arrives, and to please leave feedback. So they'll email me to tell me they got it, and how much they love the painting, but then they just flake out on the feedback.

When I'm selling, I make sure the transaction is totally, 100% complete before leaving feedback. Usually this means waiting for feedback first so that I can ensure the deal is complete and the customer is satisfied. And I do bug customers for feedback too. I like seeing my number go up!
I've been burned so many times by leaving feedback prematurely (ie after I've received payment). There may be a problem down the line, not my fault, and I want to ensure everything is received and okay before leaving a positive. That's just me.

You know, we've been saying it in this thread probably countless amount of times, but I'll say it again: I HATE bidders who up the price of an auction when there's more than 4 days left. I've been watching a dress that was listed yesterday for about 10 dollars, and what is it now? 60-something. Surely bidders have to know better? Although maybe not, since a few years ago, I was having a battle of ethics with other eBay members, who stated that the bidders who snipe at the last minute are just being sneaky and cruel, and it is just more natural to bid the more "traditional" way. Bastards.

I just realized last night that I bought something a little over a month ago, paid the second the auction ended, left positive feedback the day I got the item, and still haven't gotten feedback from the seller. That pisses me off. I don't have a ton of feedback, so one feedback more or less means a lot at this point. Should I email to ask her to leave me feedback? Having gotten sniped at the last second yesterday, on something that I thought I was going to win and that I really wanted, I'm on the side of those who think snipers are sneaky and cruel. For today, at least. When I snipe something myself I'll be on your side.

I'll defend myself by saying that I don't buy stuff on eBay very often, maybe once or twice a year, but I bid stuff up days in advance. If I'm just going to be priced out of something in the last half hour of an auction I'd rather not waste four days worrying about it.

And that's how I've normally gotten screwed out of feedback, by leaving it for THEM immediately after they pay me. That's it then - good call. From now on, no feedback till the whole transaction is done on both sides.

I'd be prompter about leaving feedback for buyers, but I'm working two jobs, and Ebay was the third. Plus I was in a car accident too. So often there are extenuating circumstances.
