Ooh, I can't wait to hear how you like the Edge. It's on my list with the CR-V. OK, let's dish. I have owned my Edge for two weeks now, and it is awesome. The best vehicle that I have ever owned. It drives like a dream, handles like a car, but I have the cargo space for groceries, basset hounds, luggage, and baseball gear (which is what I use mine for). I drive it everywhere, even to the neighbors house! You have a lot of different options in accessories. For instance, since I work part-time and using mine for kid carting, I needed rear vents (the kids used to melt in the backseat in our Xterra in the Alabama summer) leather (for easy spill clean up), and a mounted DVD player. My friend ordered a new Limited yesterday and she is a realtor so she needed the navigational system and dark leather, because she would have so many clients in and out. But she is paying a lot of money for hers, around 35 grand. I test drove one with the panoramic sunroof and I always thought that I would like it, but I really didn't. Again, with the Alabama heat, I think that I would not like the sun shining down on me- it was much bigger than your typical sunroof. But the heated seats in mine are nice on cold mornings when I am in shorts. I took Baxter to the vet and he had plenty of space in the back. The tan interior is taking some getting used to- the floorboards get dingy quick, so I ordered some Nifty Catch All floor mats because the original floor mats were worn out. These Nifty are supposed to prevent the outer parts of your floorboards from getting nasty- like when your floor under the mats is pristine, but when you remove them, you have a mat ring. Confession: I am a little Type A about my car (shocker!). I get teased a lot but when I sold the Xterra a couple of weeks ago, interested buyers kept saying, "It looks like you have taken really good care of your car." And we had six different people interested in buying it! Speaking of, highly HIGHLY recommend cars.com. We got $2500 more for the Xterra selling it private party than what CarMax wanted to give us. As for gas, I am paying $55/gal right now, which blows but it is a V6 and it is a little better on gas than the Xterra was. Well, I wrote a novel, but I HTH! $55/gallon for gas? Remind me not to move to Alabama. (I have an Edge too and I love it.)

I'm fancy. Apparently I put crushed diamonds and liquid gold in my gas tank.
Nope, not enough coffee this morning- $55/tank. Doh!
What color is yours, Brookie? Mine is pearl white. MrB liked the orange (of course, being a rabid UT fan). I saw a really pretty midnight blue on the road the other day.

Mine is cinnamon with a tan leather interior. I adore my heated seats too - nothing like a warm butt on a cold day. I wish there was an option to turn off the heat on the bottom seat and keep the heat on for the back instead of the other way around.

Does anyone have a Vespa or other scooter? I was thinking about getting one, but I also think I might be having a 2/5 life crisis.

Ugh, car drama is escalating. In the last two years I've spent about $2000 on a 2003 Honda Civic, not oil changes. I think I need a new car. Any tips for a non-frumpy zippy ride with good maintenance?

I really like the Honda Accord hybrid and Hyundai has a hybrid I really like too. A couple I know has a Prius in seafoam green and it's so freaking adorable! I'm also a big fan of mini Coopers and have heard really good things about them.

I like the little sea foam Prius sporty things, too! But I remember reading that the benefits of the Hybrid technology only come into effect on trips longer than 20 miles or so. I really need to read up on that. And also, my FIL is really against the tech because of ...something? I mean, he's not going to be paying for the car, so I'm not worried about hurt feelings, but I'm curious.

I have three relatives who have Honda Fits and love them. I've driven Corollas since 1987. (For the record, that's only two cars, I drive mine into the ground and my current 2001 model has just 47,000 miles on it. I don't drive a lot.) Of course, if you've won the Powerball, you could get a Tesla. The Oatmeal and Stephen Colbert seem to like theirs.

I have a Honda Fit and it's a good car. Surprisingly roomy inside for being such a small car. I drove Civics before, but I am happy with the Fit.
