Embarrassing confession: my car interior stinks. What's the best way to clean it rather than mask it? I cringe as I realize that I have fabric seats and often get in the car after working out while I am soaked in sweat. It could possibly explain why it smells like a dirty sock.
Please don't judge me!

Arm & Hammer makes a foam for upholstery and carpeting that meant for pet odors, but has the advantage of net needing to be vacuumed up. it supposedly destroys the offending molecules. It does a great job on furniture, I know but I've never tried it in the car. Wal Mart has it, and Target usually does.

I would also suggest a pet product! I use Jackson Galaxy's spray around Chez Chonies, but whatever you like would probably do a great job at busting sweaty smells.
For what it's worth, there's something called Dri-Seats that is a bit pricey at $40 or so but it's a seat cover specifically designed for sweaty post-workout driving.

Depending on how bad it is, I would bit the bullet and invest the $150 in a complete car detail. Whatever the source is, they will get it completely.

Thanks for all the recommendations, everyone! I think I'll start with the less expensive options and see how it goes and work my way up from there.

Can anyone recommend a good cleaner for cloth seats? My grandkids spill. A lot.

Does anyone have a Dodge Grand Caravan and how do you feel about it?
My husband is an electrician. He's been working out of the 2009 Subaru we bought in 2014. It's been a great car but he is also a musician and would like a van so he can haul band equipment as well as tools.
We just paid off the Subaru and got the title all cleared with our names on it. Oh, also, the AC has crapped out in the Subaru so he's anxious for a new vehicle. (It's not horrifyingly hot here right now but it's humid and I hate that more than heat).

Sort of—about 15 years ago, my boyfriend at the time inherited his caravan from his grandfather. It held up well and was a pretty sweet ride, with a good AC, and it was easy to remove the seats and put them back in. I have no biases against minivans, having learned to drive in a VW Vanagon.

We had the VW stationwagon...I think the Vanagon was a step up, quite frankly.
