Can anyone recommend durable fitted sheets? The cotton ones I've been using wear through in only 1-2 years. They are 300-400 thread count, so it's not a matter of the manufacturer using thinner, weaker threads to get to an artificially high thread count.
If anyone has recommendations to avoid wear, that'd be helpful too. The wear is in the middle of the sheet. Repairing is not feasible either since the damage is large patches of thinning, not a clean tear. There are only so many craft project I can upcycle them into.

I purchased some Wamsutta sheets at Bed, and Beyond on sale and I’ve been very pleased with them. I just looked on Amazon and the prices were between $275 and $285 which is just ridiculous. I’m sure I only spent around $20, because I’m a cheapskate. If you can find them for a reasonable price, I do recommend them. But not for $275.

I was reminded this week that the BR/Gap/Old Navy group takes tall sizing VERY seriously and does not see it as interchangeable with their long length sizing.
I bought a pair of tall jeans and spent several confused minutes trying to figure out why the crotch was so low, but the hem was at the ankle. Hopefully, I will remember for several years again!

I was reminded this week that the BR/Gap/Old Navy group takes tall sizing VERY seriously and does not see it as interchangeable with their long length sizing. I bought a pair of tall jeans and spent several confused minutes trying to figure out why the crotch was so low, but the hem was at the ankle. Hopefully, I will remember for several years again! I just ordered some tall tops from Gap thinking they will be longer past the waist. Here's hoping they aren't just extremely long sleeves. |

I don't understand! What is Tall and what is Long Length? How do they differ? And does this explain why their clothes fit me so oddly? Am I buying all the wrong stuff?!

Tall sizes lengthen the body of the piece while long just accommodates a longer leg. I got a tall blazer at BR, and it had a longer shoulder to boob dart length, longer sleeves, and an overall longer length. I don't think they make tops in 'long' sizes. |
