I got my laptop back from Dell, with new motherboard -- so far, so good.
Now, does anyone know if there's an easy-ish way to share Audible files? The rat bastards have encoded them so my sister can't play them at all. Any way to remove DRM and convert to mp3 without spending gobs of time and money? <rant>Why should this be different from me buying a paperback book and passing it on? Grrr.</rant>

I finally rode into the 21st Century and got an iphone4. If there are any apps you absolutely love, please let me know! I activate my phone tonight. Excited, but overwhelmed on how to use this puppy!

Apps I cannot live without: Pandora, Facebook, ProBoards, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Netflix, and QuickTip.
Apps that are also pretty good: LinkedIn, Zappos, WhitePages, and WeatherBug.
I don't have a ton of apps, but the ones I do have, I use the crap out of.

Zappos has an app?!
I use CardStar for loading all my club cards so I don't have to carry those around on my keychain. They just did an update with coupons!
MyShoppi is a nice grocery/shopping list app. You can even scan bar codes (although it sometimes does miss).

Thanks ladies. I had no idea there were apps for some of those.

I like Shazam for when you hear a song and go, "Who sings that?" Shazam will listen and tell you. I play Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons -- not such a fan of Angry Birds Space. Fooducate is pretty good if you want to scan a barcode in the grocery store to find out how healthy a food product is.

And if you make a purchase a little cat puts it in your shopping cart! Sorry, it is a good app but I think I was most thrilled with that feature when I used it. I might have kept putting things I didn't need in my cart so that the cat showed up. Continue on.

Shit, I hate buying shoes because I'm a men's 13/14 depending on the brand but an adorable shopping cat, you say?
Shazam is great. There's a not-free competitor called 'SoundHound' which has the advantage of being able to look up by humming or entering lyrics. And, Martini, you have GOT to get the KCRW app as a fellow Cali-person.
I have way, way too many apps. I'm addicted most to Twitter - because the Twitter folks actually design their mobile apps to be 'better' than the desktop - and my banking app, to check my balances. Yelp, of course, to see what's around me. MenuPages and Open Table awesome because you can browse menus/book reservations at nice restaurants in some cities. I prefer Hipstamatic to Instagram. The Super8 app is fun. And, of course, the Showtimes and Fandango apps. Viber, Google Voice and WhatsApp are great to talk to your friends over WiFi without being hit with roaming/data rates - bstewart and I use them to 'text' back and forth from him in Canada all the time.
Oh, and get TruxMap. I miss the food trucks most of all from things I miss about LA.
But there's really no 'right' way to get apps. Fiddle with it. See what you like. Download as much free shit as you can. Especially games that you know your friends play (like Words with Friends!). Take full advantage of the 4S features outside the apps - I love the Cloud SO MUCH. Siri is awesome - even it annoys you at first, keep using it because it gets used to your voice. The camera is a revelation. The location services can be awesome - especially with reminders (i.e. - remind me to empty the dishwasher when I get home. Remind me to fax jenny when I get to the office). I went from a 3G to a 4S and am so happy.

Is there a way to find your Iphone if you've misplaced it (and didn't download the Find my phone app beforehand?)
