I agree, absolutely, bklynrd. That free app has been great--particularly now that my period is going a bit wonky.
Does anyone else have recommendations for great free apps? Just curious.

I like using free workout apps, especially for ones I can do in my house without equipment. I have an Android phone, and I think they're called "Free Daily Abs Workout" and you can choose between three lengths of time commitment.
I am also a huge nerd and love the Wikipedia app. My top apps are NPR, BBC, my bank's app, the workout ones, and Sparkpeople, Kindle. Boring, but that's what I'm about. I'm trying to find a good free app that's handy for writing memos.

I have an android and have been using Out of Milk for grocery list. I like it because I can have multiple lists (so I have a costco one, one for my main grocery store, etc.) I can order the items, strike them as done, as well as text or email my list to Batguy if he's going to do the shopping.

You're welcome! I love having the list on my phone. My phone is never far from me so when I think of something to add, there it is!

I use Astrid for my to do list app. I love it, its really easy. You can make a list as basic as you want or add details like levels of priority, add it to your calandar, share it with others. You can use it both on its website or as an app and it is free on Apple and Android.
For more detailed task management I have started using Workflowy. It is essentially an outline app. You can create as many subtasks as you want. Its super easy and has a nice clean design. Its free and also both webbased and an app. Its on Apple and I think Android as well.
For offline reading I recently switched from Instapaper to Pocket. I like Pocket's layout so much more and it is free as well.

I've heard of Evernote, I forget why I passed on it. Astrid is a friend's name...weird.

So I would like to buy an iphone in a couple of weeks (I am finally employed again after being laid off in September!). Will the 16gb phone store enough music? I've never had an iphone before and I wanted to get the least expensive one but I need my music on my morning train commute so should I get the 16gb or the 32gb?
