Anybody have a HTC One? I'm getting a new phone and am trying to decide between an iPhone and the HTC One. I already have an iPad and iPod touch so it would be really convenient to get an iPhone as I can copy all my apps and music over easily. But I also kind of want to try something new. The HTC One has gotten great reviews and the guy in the phone store strongly recommended I get that one. I played with it for a minute in the store and it seemed cool but its hard to tell in just a short time. And if I don't like it I will be stuck with it for 3 years. Whereas the iPhone probably won't blow me away but I know what to expect. But I feel like I should be adventurous. I feel like maybe I am over reliant on Apple. Anyways has anyone used the HTC One?

I was looking through some things I filmed on my camera about six years ago. The sound only work if I view it on an old Quicktime( I'm afraid to update). Is there any way I can make it work on other players?
Also, a relative is sending me photos from an iphone an the file name just says "photo", is there anything she can do so every picture has its own unique file name?

I have one and right now I hate it. The screen keeps going black. I'll be in the middle of a text and the screen will just go black. The lights at the bottom are still lighted and I can hear if I receive text, I can hear the phone ring, but nothing is on the screen, so I can't use the phone. It just started doing it over the weekend and it is annoying. It does it while I am at work or late at night. I loved it until it started being an asshole. Kinda like my exes.

Thanks for the info! I'm really glad I went with the iPhone now. I remembered reading a review which said the one drawback of the HTC One was that there were some issues with it in sleep mode not waking up properly. That wasn't a deal-breaker for me I just figured it made more sense since I already have Apple everything else. I really like it so far. I wish I could have tried something new but phones are so freaking expensive. You either shell out a ton up front or sign a 3 year contract. Either way if you end up with a dud you are kinda screwed.

I'm not sure if this is the best place for this - but which magazines have the best e-versions? My mom got an iPad mini and I wanted to get her a gift card to get her a magazine subscription to a home decorating magazine, but experience has taught me that not all i-versions of magazines are created equal.
For example, i have a subscription to Self, and the i version is really great; it's formatted for the screen, it has interactive video, etc. Marie Claire (I think that's the one) is essentially just the print version. The windows are too big for the iPad screen, there's no added multi-media content. It's pretty lame.
What are your top picks for the iPad?

I am thinking about ditching my Suddenlink cable and internet. $148 a month! I would like to just have internet, is this possible? I looked at a 4G hookup through virginmobile and it isn't available in my area (WV). Any ideas?

There may be a local ISP in your area. We have DSL through a local company, which is extremely reliable and not that expensive. We aren't gamers and don't watch movies/tv online, so it doesn't matter that we don't have cable internet.

Really simply: blogger or Word Press? I've worked with both, but only in the free formats. I'm thinking about going pro.

I use blogger. It's easy, it's free, it lets me use my own domain name, and it lets me run ads. Wordpress.com doesn't allow ads, only wordpress.org. A good friend used wordpress.com and it really limited what she could do, but she didn't want to shell out for hosting and a decent blog design.
