I have leftover turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes for lunch today. Yes, it's loaded with carbs and fat and whatnot. Yes, it's a cliche to have made so much Thanksgiving dinner that I'm still eating leftovers. I don't care; I love Thanksgiving dinner.

Yummm...I was pleased not to have the expense of cooking Thanksgiving dinner but was bummed to not have leftovers.
Lunch was leftover macaroni and lentils (channeling someone's Nonna), a honey Chobani and a Polly-O string cheese. I might have an almond biscotti later.

I'm still eating turkey sandwiches for lunch. I think today should be the last one.
Dinner last night was cabbage and onion sautéed in a bit of bacon fat, mixed with some roasted butternut squash chunks and a cut-up chicken breast cooked with some sweet chili sauce. The whole thing was then tossed with a bit of honey, mustard, lemon juice and olive oil and served with crumbled bacon on top. It was healthy but still with a comfort food vibe and very tasty.

Two slices of panettone for breakfast. I figure the citron has vitamin C and the raisins have fiber.

The raisins are also a good source of iron. And there are eggs in panettone, too, which just screams "breakfast."

Yum. Panettone. Damn. I just realized we won't be getting any this christmas, since the Italian MIL is going to visit her other son this year. She usually brings copious amounts of food with her. She's shipping us a few things, but probably not that. Probably just as well. I had some various leftover root vegetables in the fridge last night, so I figured I'd use them up. I roasted up some celeriac, carrots and butternut squash, and then mashed them all up and served it with sausage. Very tasty!

Sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant, which may possibly be the best sausage, egg and cheese ever due to the fact that I'm completely hung over from bourbon-spiked punch.

Had some sugary concoction for breakfast that I bogarted from the break room at work yesterday - with coffee. Got my candy order from Ghirardelli yesterday so I had one each this morning: pumpkin caramel and dark chocolate with seasalt caramel filling. Yummeeeee!!!

My new job has a Jimmy John's sub shop across the street. I swear I've had their Club Lulu sandwich 4 times in the past week. I just love it!

The first time I had Jimmy John's I was completely meh about it, but I think they must put something addictive in there because I found myself craving their sandwiches and going back for more.
