I've had that bar and I also thought it was tasty. I like lemon quite a bit, so-so on white chocolate.

I had a broccoli-slaw salad for lunch today; I used to eat it quite a bit, and got out of the habit. I'm glad I had it again, because I like it so much! I buy the bagged broccoli slaw (basically, julienned broccoli stems, with a few carrots and bits of red cabbage), add more red cabbage, plus some slivered almonds and dried cranberries. I dress it with nonfat yogurt mixed with a little red-wine vinegar.
We're having chili for dinner tonight, yum.

yum! I love the bag of broccoli slaw at Trader Joe's.
I made such a yummy soup yesterday. We had rotisserie chicken from the grocery store the night before and I made a broth with the carcass. For the soup, I used the broth, plus some shredded chicken, butternut squash ravioli (from Trader Joe's), cauliflower and diced carrots, and then added a swirl of some pesto I'd made and frozen. It was so good. The pesto gave it a nice flavor without overpowering it.
For leftovers, we had the soup and some simple spinach feta tarts I made using pastry sheets cut and shoved in a muffin tin.

I made fish tacos last night that I really enjoyed. They were bang bang guac fish tacos, as I like to call them. I took the cheap frozen fish squares (cod?) and cooked them and flaked them, then mixed in some homemade "bang bang" sauce, AKA sweet chili sauce, mayo, and sriracha sauce. I then used some mini tortillas for the shells and added in lettuce and some simple mashed up avocado with lemon juice and garlic. I served the tacos with some celery sliced up in sticks and sautéed in some sesame oil and red pepper flakes.

Yum! I am going to have to try that biondetta!
Breakfast: Post workout chocolate milk, then a couple of hours later some orange juice and a smoothie.
Lunch: Chipotle--vegan tacos. Brown Rice, black beans, fajita vegetables. Yum.
Dinner: Yesterday I cut up a chicken, and marinated it in a mixture of buttermilk, sugar, salt, pepper, parika, etc. Then tonight I roasted it in a 475 degree oven for 30-35 minutes. Served it with corn, and "kateln's Compromised" potato salad. The recipe comes from when I was going to make an herby potato salad but one person didn't like mint--so I agreed to leave it out, then I discovered that I was out of parsley--and was too lazy to go buy it. I mixed up some olive oil, garlic, lemon juice and zest, scallions, dijon mustard, and salt & pepper. Then I cooked the potatoes until tender, and while they were still warm I cut them up and mixed them in the dressing. Then chilled. Yum.

Gorton! A long standing bakery in my hometown makes the most delicious version. I popped in to get some cupcakes the other day (also delicious) and had to pick up a tub. So now I'm snacking on gorton, crackers and just a dab of mustard. My dad almost fell over himself to get some the other night when I told him that I had some in the fridge.

A while ago, I swore off Starbucks, in favor of remaining loyal to my locally owned coffee places, which I've been eating at since I was a child. But so help me, I've fallen before the mighty almond croissant. I'm not sure how they get those things so tasty, but it's warped my brain. Almond croissant, I am thine.

Barbecue Spaghetti and Meatballs. I use a recipe for the BBQ sauce that includes Jack Daniels. It's delicious.
