Breakfast: Oatmeal with a drizzle of maple syrup and cream, 2 cups of coffee.
Mid-morning snack: Greek yogurt with a cup of blueberries.
Lunch: Artichoke/garlic chicken sausage, roasted vegetables (carrots, broccoli, cauliflower), green salad of lettuce, tomatoes and red/yellow bell peppers with honey mustard vinaigrette.
Not sure what dinner is going to be yet, but I'll also probably throw a Quest bar in there at some point (choc chip cookie dough, of course!).

The garden is producing heavily. Breakfast was a bowl of blueberries and blackberries; scrambled eggs; zucchini fritters with peppers, green onions, and herbs. Everything except the eggs, salt, flour and oil I grew. I wish this town would let us keep chickens. Lunch was a piece of fried chicken and some fries as I was on the road. (It's hard to convince a chicken 'n' biscuit place that NO I DON'T WANT A BISCUIT.) Supper will be something with tomatoes. Mmmm, fresh tomatoes from the garden.

Peanut butter and jelly on wheat, coffee, leftover enchiladas with refried beans and broiled zucchini and yellow squash with a fried egg. Office snacks: Haribo ginger lemon things, more coffee, and a white rabbit candy. Dinner: morningstar farm buffalo chik'n patty on an onion hamburger bun, baby carrots. One tbls of trail mix. And a bottle of cold brew coffee because I have to work until 10 AND the power went out while the coffee maker was chugging out my evening go-go juice.

Mid-morning snack: Atkins protein bar. Kind of lunch/kind of afternoon snack: hard salami and Wasa light rye crackers with onion and chive cream cheese. Dinner: Chicken quesadilla on a low-carb spinach tortilla with broccoli and cheese. Lipton iced tea sweetened with Splenda (I know it's bad), all day, every day. I may need to add dark chocolate to the list before the day is over. We'll see.

The existence and availability of carrot cake suspends all dietary restrictions.
Everyone knows that!

The existence and availability of carrot cake is an abomination against God and nature.

Red velvet cake is just an overrated baked good. I think people are all obsessed with it because it's red. I have made it and it's red due to a bottle of food coloring. No magic there! And the taste - eh. Carrot cake, however, done well is a thing of joy. And healthy to boot, because those 4 carrots TOTALLY offset the butter, cream cheese and sugar!
