Traffic, how is Halo Top? Been wanting to try it, as I have a major sweet tooth and this seems right in my wheelhouse.
At a wedding out of town this weekend, so food won't be super on point. Just breakfast so far, which was a bowl of oatmeal with some blueberries, and English muffin with grape jelly, coffee and an apple.

Last summer when I started tracking my food was when I for reals started using supplements. I'd been very inconsistent with protein shakes and never took the aminos. When I started doing more intense (more times a week) workouts my trainer suggested I add the aminos to help with the volume. I switched to preworkout instead of coffee last fall. I think it helps.
Halo Top is manna from the gods.
I have now tried all the flavors and I can say that the chocolate is the best and the lemon is the worst. Even the worst is better than that abomination that is ArcticZero.

OK, thanks!
I made zucchini noodles for dinner and added some tomatoes, chickpeas, green beans and some real noodles, and that came out deliciously. And since I'm not a monster, we had root beer floats with hard root beer for dessert.

Breakfast- omelet with sauteed mixed peppers and onions with herbs; blueberries; fried potatoes. Lunch- turkey coldcuts and tomatoes on whole wheat. Supper- jambalaya with chicken and shrimp; green beans; salad with tomatoes and cukes. Snack was eating blueberries off the bushes while the dogs did their business.

Fat Food Friday is (officially) here. I see no reason to quit while ahead. Gym workout (it was rainy so I couldn't run). So far: 1 cup of coffee, half a cup of hot chocolate. Some spicy biltong. A packet of Lays sour cream and onion (small). Lunch will be two rotis with lentil curry and cheese (YUM). I have some Lindt pieces for afternoon snack and dinner will probably be pizza because it's been two whole weeks since I've had pizza and that is just ridiculous, cruel and unusual behaviour. Are you in South Africa? I thought you were in Australia, but the timing of your posts seemed off and biltong seems like a clue : ) If so, I might have a million ZA food questions for you! Today for me: black coffee then wheat toast with extra crunchy peanut butter, then a chocolate Rip van Wafels with a milky coffee. Then I went home for an early lunch and had leftover bok choy, chicken and rice noodle stir fry with a fried egg. Oh, and a cup of dark chocolate almond milk. ETA: And stupid salty licorice. Why is it sooo good? And why doesn't anyone else like it? Why am I cursed to eat this entire bag by myself??? Chonies, are you talking about double zout licorice? My hub LOVES IT - his parents emigrated from Holland and he was raised on it. I have seen him literally fill his entire oral cavity with the little diamond-shaped ones. (Then we both started laughing so hard that I almost had to perform a Heimlich on him.) We live in Washington state and go on periodic treks to find this stuff for him. We have been to the Netherlands twice and you can imagine what THAT was like! LOL. I tried to like it, but to me it tastes like ammonia. That was a bummer because I love salt.

Dubbel zout is now on my official shopping list! Thanks for the tip! : D I went to World Market while on vacation and stocked up on Katjes. My favorite is the salted herring ones, but I will buy any Katjes product. I also have a very generous friend who brings me salmiakki from Finland, and recently Pirkka licorice sauce, which is heaven on vanilla ice cream. It's nowhere as sharp as salmiakki and other ammonia-flavored candy--it tastes sort of like sambuca and Lyle's Golden Syrup mixed together. Definitely a malty or caramel undertone. SO GOOD. My husband unexpectedly stopped by my office the other day and refused to kiss me because he saw I had just polished off a bag of Pfötchen. Is black licorice love genetic, like cilantro?

I love the sound of the Pirkka sauce. Lyle's is mmmmmmmmm. Thanks for the idea!
I just inhaled some barbecued salmon, little potatoes roasted in olive oil and tossed with truffle salt, and green salad. For dessert I plan on Eleno's yogurt (which I think is available only around Seattle - delicious) and blueberries I picked the other day. But first I am sucking down some Radius "Red Wine," which is much more yummy than the name would suggest!

Yesterday's food was an attempt to make up for the excess of frikandel, fish and chips, and Coke float from the day before.
Breakfast was ontbijtkoek with fresh strawberries and a coffee. Lunch: boiled egg and Asian-inspired vegetable soup Dinner: tuna and white bean salad Dessert: a small scoop of vanilla ice cream with more fresh strawberries

Halo Top is manna from the gods. I have now tried all the flavors and I can say that the chocolate is the best and the lemon is the worst. Even the worst is better than that abomination that is ArcticZero. Finally got my hands on some of this. I got Vanilla bean, mocha chocolate chip and birthday cake. I wanted to get chocolate, too, but they were all out and the checkout person told me that's constantly happening. I liked all three, but vanilla bean the best (not surprising, as I'm a vanilla ice cream fan). Hopefully as these become more popular they're stocked in more stores, as I had to go two towns over to find a location that has them.
