I finally scooped up some dieter's ice cream today, just to see what it's like. It's the Skinny Cow stuff. Not bad, but also not what I would call good. We'll see if my overly hungry self eats the rest of the box.

I really like the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches. I mean, no, it's not the real stuff, but it's pretty decent.

I actually really like the Weight Watchers (of all things!) ice cream bars. I think that they are low-cal in part because they are not that big, but I definitely find them big enough to satisfy an ice cream craving.

WW desserts, in general, are very good. I agree: it's basically that they're sized down that makes them low-cal, but still, tasty!
I just had the most satisfying breakfast: plain greek yogurt with sliced peaches and two slices of toast with a laughing cow cheese, avocado, and turkey slices. It hit all the sweet and savory notes and was a good mix of protein, healthy fats, and carbs. Plus, delicious!

We keep Outshine bars in the house, which usually satisfies my cravings for something sweet and cold, but if they won't do we'll walk into town to get some of the real deal. The big gelato place closed, which was heart breaking (and now it's a dive bar?) but the owners put in a little outdoor "pop-up" that's awesome.

Outshine is the other food item I've been scarfing down lately. I think I still need to get off sweets entirely, but that has been really, really hard to do.

I know I'm years behind everyone else on the Kale Train, but my-never-trust-veggies adult son actually asked to have some in our stir fry last night. I had chopped up the leaves and mixed them with lettuce for salad, but had the stems in the freezer. I chopped them and tossed them in the pan with everything else (meat, onions, garlic, & peppers). He ate it up and asked me to put it on our weekly meal rotation.

Hi, All! Safeway in Denver has Talenti brand gelato 60% off if you buy five or more; they're usually $4.99 per pint, currently $1.99. No Tahitian Vanilla Bean at the 6th and Downing store, but I stocked up on Madagascar Vanilla Bean. Those are two flavors that my celiac brother has had that haven't made him sick.

I'm trying to cut back on sugar, so today I tried Stevia for the first time. Gross! Definitely not going to be my go-to sugar substitute. Maybe Nectress will be easier...
