Did anyone watch the hot mess that was last night's premiere?

SO BAD. While the new model judge is cute and has a hot accent, he is no substitute for Nigel. Also, the stylist dude was absolutely incoherent in his confessions! It was more of a slur than a lisp!

And the comments being 'tweeted' during the runway show were clearly fake. Reading off Facebook comments and watching the models Skype does not make for compelling television.

I will say that this batch of girls is fairly pretty.

I watched. I watched it right after Project Runway and I figured after the nightmare that was Ven, Tyra might seem more tolerable. Not really. Especially with the opening bit with the guy with the beard and wig. WTF?

The runway walk-off looked more like they were casting for Playboy's college issue. It all looked trashy.

I do think Victoria could be interesting, visually, even though in terms of personality, she's a weird one from the looks of it. But I think if they clean up her eyebrows and generally clean her up around the edges, she could have a bit of a Keira Knightly vibe.

Naturally, it wasn't mentioned on the show but I'm glad my friend informed me that Liberty University was founded by Jerry Falwell because now Victoria's level of creepy/cray at least has a reason behind it to me.

I still find it interesting that she's big on her Jewish and Native American background, yet "goes" to Liberty. Such a strange girl, but she did photograph well.

I like Kiara, although I guess a lot of people don't, possibly even Tyra et al. I have no idea what her photo shoot was supposed to be like, because I'm not sure there's anything you can do when you've got a freakin' topiary tree between you and the other model!

Well, as always - the girls I find the most unattractive are the judges favorites. Who's the chick with the That Girl style flip bob in red? I'm not seeing it.

Miss Liberty better do something about those eyebrows pretty soon. I'm guessing she's a judge favorite because she's crazy? I'm surprised she has no qualms about running around nude. And she throws around the word "bitch" pretty freely. Is she even real, or a setup? It's all very not Falwell.

I'm hating the audience faux participation. Who cares? And while the new guy is hot, he's not Nigel, and he's totally there because he's doing Tyra. She'd better have Nigel on speed dial for the next time when this one crashes and burns.

I do kind of like the vote popping up as numbers, though. But they could accomplish that by giving the judges some secret scoring system.

I can't stop watching this show, no matter how bad it gets. And it keeps getting worse and worse. Only the second week in and I'm reminded just how much I DESPISE Kelly Cutrone. I rarely get that worked up over anyone on any show, but Cutrone makes me livid. Such a vile person.

Not that I like any of these judges and the numbers they give each contestant seem incredibly random and pointless.

Then there are the ugly photoshoots and ridiculous runways. I'm also not getting the love for the janitor's son. He just stood there. Why did he get top ranking? I don't even find him that attractive. Meh.

I've only binge watched this show on Oxygen on Saturday afternoons, but bringing male models in has definitely added a lot of drama and fun, and, of course, eye candy. Definitely Team Cory for the finale.

I'm dredging up this thread because I just read that Yaya (season 3 runner-up) has been cast as one of the leads in the new Chicago Fire spin-off. I'm glad she's been able to build an acting career.

As a contrast, I keep seeing the awful pharma ad starring Caridee (season 7 winner), in which she does the worst faking modeling ever.

I quit watching ANTM a few seasons ago. I miss the early seasons when they actually were given a little training and did somewhat realistic shoots and runway shows.
