I can't stand Justin. Ugh! I do like Joey and Kelsey well enough, so I'm rooting for them. Watching the road block tonight was painful.

I stopped watching this a few seasons ago, but was roped on by the "bet you didn't see that coming" previews.
Um, dude. There's no crying in Amazing Race. At least not crying over the concept (it wasn't even a fact yet) that you might not win. Gawd, what level of entitlement does one need to have to actually blubber on TV because you might not win a million dollars?

Justin has acted like he's the winner from day 1. I can only hope that one of the other teams can keep it together long enough to pull out the win next week. It truly would have been a thing of beauty if the green team got booted this week.

Justin's always been kind of annoying, and I didn't like how he talked to his girlfriend in some of the earlier episodes, but overall, I didn't mind him as a racer. However, when he started being xenophobically rude to the taxi driver, that's when I lost all respect for him. I get the frustration with the driver for taking you somewhere when he obviously was unclear himself, but still ... And to then turn on his girlfriend for politely telling him to stop being a dick. And then all the crying and how he can't go on if he doesn't win ... No. Just no.
The paparazzi are unpleasant, but I think I'd almost prefer to see them win over Justin.

I've also noticed the way he's turned on his gf when things aren't going their way. Between that and his propensity to get overly emotional, he has the potential to be an abusive husband someday, or maybe just your run of the mill shitty one. Just a hunch that can only be based on the little we know about these people. There are a few red flags on TAR cast page. They also both describe Justin as a tough guy with a soft heart, which is one of those bullshit phrases meant to excuse someone from being inconsiderate dick. They should just print this out and start their couple counseling the day after their marriage. They're gonna need it.

Oh yeah that Q&A is red flag city. The paparazzi are incredibly unpleasant and are always screaming at each other. But it is reciprocal and you get the sense neither of them are really bothered by it. They fight and then shrug it off. With Diana she only halfheartedly defends herself. You can just see her absorb all his insults. When Justin was boo-hooing and saying how he should've been the one to do the diving and goldfish task it just seemed like classic manipulative asshole behavior. Going on how he should've done the task because she is just not capable of it. Pretending to blame himself but really blaming her. I really wanted the cheerleaders to beat them but I am glad that Diana was able to get the fish on her first try. Otherwise she would be hearing about it for the rest of her life. Justin's always been kind of annoying, and I didn't like how he talked to his girlfriend in some of the earlier episodes, but overall, I didn't mind him as a racer. However, when he started being xenophobically rude to the taxi driver, that's when I lost all respect for him. Someone on Previously TV brought up a good point. Justin has been arrogant and mildly annoying for most of the season but he has also always been at the front of the pack. The two times that the green team were close to losing, during the first episode when they couldn't do the fast forward and this last episode, he had epic meltdowns. If he had been near the back of the pack for more of the season he probably would have been unbearable. Next week I am expecting lots of screaming and crying. I am hoping that Joey and Kelsey win. Not because they are awesome but they are the least offensive. It does feel like the show is setting up an always 2nd place until the finale story line so fingers crossed. Mind you, if green team doesn't win guaranteed they'll be back for all stars so pick your poison.

I belong to a TAR forum on FB, and I commented yesterday that I like the Green Team but that I hope Justin watches himself in action and takes it as a wake-up call (or, if he doesn't, that Diana does). Diana liked my comment.

We'll find out, because we are just about guaranteed to see them again, after that snore of a finale.

This wasn't really that great of a season, or at least, I'm not remembering a lot of really interesting bits. I think with Green Team winning so much (and the anchors frequently coming in second), it didn't feel like there was a lot of placement shifting. Plus, there weren't that many teams that I particularly liked. I'm happy enough with the finale, but even that felt somewhat lacklustre. I'm not excited about next season's social media sensations. I hope it's not just a bunch of "personalities" who are always on.
