Amazing Race Canada has definitely overtaken TAR original flavour in terms of enjoyment, entertainment and suspense.
I'm feeling smug because at the end of the second-to-last I called the Broadcasters based upon the experience of the Canadian hockey girls that won a buttload of firsts only to lose the big win. I was right! (and then promptly accused of having been spoiled since we were watching Saturday night.)

Joey & Kelsey (anchorpeople) won, Justin & Diana came on 2nd, and Chris & Logan finished 3rd.

Did everyone give up on TAR: Famous People You May Not Know Edition? Because, according to the show, these are legitimate famous people.
The only two I recognize are the Quick Cut magician, and the Blonde Hunk who makes Shirtless! Videos with his friends, but from a Christian point of view.
I'm wondering if anyone happens to know which season spent the most time in Europe, as I will be there next month, and would like to do entertaining research while I do real research?

I'm watching, but don't know a single one of these people. I'm just glad there was less yelling and screaming this episode.

Oy vey, the shrieking. There have been a few times when I was thisclose to getting up and leaving the room.
I'm still watching, but I think the casting for this series absolutely sucks. I can only identify a couple of the teams, and usually by now I've got a pretty good handle on who people are. And way too many of these people are those type that's "on" all the time.

I've never heard of any of them either. The phenomenon of You Tube and Vine stars makes me old and cranky. I learned a little bit about it when the kid from a You Tube family died unexpectedly (the Bratayleys), and it turned out the family was hired by Disney, who has a division devoted to this real-fake genre. There are also a bunch of supposedly self-made stars who do make-up tutorials and such that are actually hired actors. It's extremely deceptive. I noticed most of the teams had their amped up social media personality going on in the first leg, but things seemed to have calmed down a bit now. I figured it was only a matter of time before the stress of TAR would force most of them to stop being attention whores and start getting real. Remember when people used to stop being polite before they started getting real? Those were the days!

There's a slightly older couple (early 30s?) who have some yellow as their team color. I think they're gamers. Anyway, they're my favorites so far. No shrieking, decent placement, and occasionally funny comments.

Wait a minute, all the teams are supposed to be famous? None of them even looked remotely familiar where I am wondering whether I had seen them before or not. Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Well, online famous. I don't know who any of these people are, so for me, this is just another season of the Race (with people playing to the cameras more). My son recognizes some of the Racers, so TPTB are probably hoping to draw a younger demographic.

I don't watch a lot of YouTube, so I have no familiarity with any of the teams, but I don't find any of them particularly offensive or despicable. Annoying and overtalkative, sure. I'm not actively rooting against any of the teams, which is a nice change of pace. I'm not actively rooting *for* anyone either, though I'm a wee more affectionate toward Tyler and Korey.
I just needed to post my jealousy at them all enjoying the ultimate travel-porny backdrop of the French Alps. Oh. My Glorious.
I'm horribly afraid of heights as well, so if I were a racer, I would likely be taking a penalty or two. All the more time for me to sit on the sidelines and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
