Yay! I am irrationally happy, having received SVU Season One on DVD from my boyfriend for our anniversary. (Is that weird?)
I hadn't even realized that my sexy Ryan O'Reily was on SVU, but damn. He was pretty good as Cassidy, and I enjoyed his interaction with Munch. (And it takes a little to get me to like Munch.) In "Disrobed" when he left the unit crying, wow. I've always wondered why any of them don't do that, and seeing someone finally crack under such pressure was not fun. Poor Brian.

Law and Order is my crack. I am addicted. I love the original especially the Noth, Orbach, Hennessy, Waterson combo. And SVU rocks my world, although in my house it is referred to as SUV. I love Munch, and I miss Dean Winters. Ice-T isn't half bad though.

Did anyone see the season finale of L&O: Original? I'm wondering if Anne Parisse got fired, if she wanted to leave the show or what? I hadn't heard any murmurings so I was surpised they killed her off. I didn't particularly like her as the ADA, but she was a lot better than Serena or the rabbitty chipmunk woman on L&O:SVU.

I have no idea why the actress left/got fired. Her killing was a bit far-fetched to me. NYC prosecutors must live in a near-constant state of security. Her own boss was targeted for murder recently. Every New Yorker I know uses their peephole religiously. And we're supposed to believe that this woman, living alone and working a high-profile murder conspiracy case, would just yank open her front door in the dead of night? No peephole, no "who is it"? Can someone that stupid actually pass the bar?

I really liked this ADA, it's a shame she bit it. Maybe they can bring Robinette back? My favorite ADA so far has been Jill Hennessy, followed by Carey Lowell. But I think it is about time they had a male ADA, instead of the pretty young things they keep casting. If they want more females on the show then they can replace Farina with an older woman detective.

If they want more females on the show then they can replace Farina with an older woman detective. I would love that. I would start watching again if they did that. I am really loving CI. I think the switch-off thing with Logan and Barek was such a great idea. You have Goren's intensity tempered a little bit by Logan's charisma. And I think Annabella is so great as Barek.

Every New Yorker I know uses their peephole religiously. And we're supposed to believe that this woman, living alone and working a high-profile murder conspiracy case, would just yank open her front door in the dead of night? No peephole, no "who is it"? Too true. I thought of that as it happened. I couldn't believe she opened the door like that without even a chain bolt or peephole glance. I *LOVED* Robinette. And, unpopular opinion, I don't like blowhard bloviator Jack McCoy. I'm old school and much prefer Michael Moriarity. I've watched the show with considerably less ardor since Waterston took over. As for the time when they had Serena on it.... ugh. But I didn't like Jill Hennessey either. The character was alright but the actress irritates me as a whole. All *VERY* unpopular opinions, I know. I like the casting changes you've mentioned, but my order of priority in changing things belongs first and foremost to L&O:SVU (as I call it.) Diane Neal bugs me enormously. Just her very appearance makes me twitch in misery. She's the Fugliest of the Fugly Fug around, and her character is just hollow. If they could replace her as ADA, I'd be so happy with my Meloni, BD Wong and the rest. Ideal scenario: Bring back "Alexandra Cabot" from the failed L&O:Conviction show and put her where she rightfully belongs.

I was really freaked out by their killing of Alexandra (and how many Alexs are on these L&Os?) I think it was the graphic, brutal way that they did it- you don't usually see that on L&O:The Mothership.
I am one of the few people who like Farina and Thompson- of course, Fred is a native son (he is from a neighboring county). I am glad that Farina is quite different that Jerry Orbach, because I really loved him.

I wish they'd give Jesse L. Martin more things to do. He's so talented. And sexy.
If she really was fired for not being "fuckable," then I feel terrible for Annie Parisse.
