I liked tonight's episode. I actually laughed out loud a few times, mainly with the Luke scenes. I love Luke!
Next week looks like it will be good. I hope Jess can knock some sense into Rory.

Wow there was actually affection between Luke and Lorilei! Weird.
The grandparents really need help. They have an image of how they think things should be, and if it goes contrary to what they want then it's ruined. Richard is now willing to let go of Rory now because in his eyes, she's ruined. She's just like Lorilei now in his eyes. I kinda see why Lorielie ran away. But on the other hand, I can't blame them for wanting to think their granddaughter is still pure and chaste.

I was laughing so hard I was crying at the minister's "ultimate gift" speech.
I wonder if Emily and Richard will be hitting another rough spot in their marriage, with Emily realizing Richard doesn't think much of what she does. I don't think Richard wants to let go of Rory, I think he's pissed at himself for not seeing what was really happening. Plus he has to admit Loreli was right.
I can't stand Jess and don't understand why TPTB always try and shove him down viewers throats. I mean they even tried to give him his own show! That actor must have sumthang on someone!

When Richard was going on about how Rory was wasting her life, and then he had to spell it out for Emily by saying, "You know, planning parties and going to DAR meeting", I just thought THUNK! Richard is so insensitive. Sure, that sort of thing might seem frivolous to him (and to many people), but his sort of business life requires a wife who does that stuff, whose success in that arena reflects well on him and his career. So he can stuff it.
I just don't hate Logan at all like you guys do: I think he's cute as all get out, and charming too.
Poochie does not need to make a comeback. Again. Although, as Luke's nephew, I guess it is natural that he would turn up regularly.
At first I thought the minister was so stilted and stuffy-sounding, but then I realized he was just very droll. I wanted Rory to tell him she gave her "ultimate gift" to a married man - wait - then add, "But it's okay, he's divorced now." Heh.

I think it's about time that SOMEONE gives the "this isn't YOU" speech to Rory. It just seems dumb that it HAS to be Jess that gives it.
Here's why: He barely understood her in the first place. The last time he saw her, he was nagging her to run off to New York with him. Oh sure, we can use the notion of that he used all that time to think and to really understand her. But still. Jess bugs.
It's still one step up from bringing Dean back or having a Dean-Rory-Jess redux with Marty, though.

I always liked Jess for some reason. But don''t worry, he's only going to be on GG for one episode. He's not sticking around or at least that's what TPTB are saying.

I am disappointed that Jess is being brought back and is it to be the "voice of reason"? Apparently Alexis is dating him in real life, so perhaps that is why he keeps surfacing. I do like the Logan character and the actor who plays him, I hope to see him in something else in the near future.

It was freaky how Emily was all psycho mom on Rory and talking about, "Wait till your father gets home" I think that was turning point for Rory to realize exactally where she was and what she was doing.
I could be wrong because I was forced to be on the telephone for 2/3rds of the episode so I sorta only half watched it. Bummer... cause once American Idol comes back I won't get to watch anymore unless American Idol takes pitty on my and decides not to air on Tuesdays at 8 est.

Rory has been on a very specific path since she was a little girl. It makes sense that, as a more aware adult, she would want to jump off for a while. And I still think Logan is very cute, and definitely see the appeal there for Rory.
However, are her grandparents that naive? Having sleepovers at Paris' house? I guess maybe they are.
And I don't mind Jess in these small doses, as a friend who just wants what's best for his friend.
